In my case it's a cycle, busier in the summer but in the winter once our projects are out for bid it gets a little quieter.

I hear ya, not as easy as it sounds but I'm fortunate enough that let us use our phones on the floor, some guys do crosswords the whole day, some spend the whole day outside smoking....

Same here ... although I'm now retired (former computer programmer), I still find ways to occupy my time with things I enjoy (ie: programming for fun, photography, stock market, strategy games, etc).
