while I understand he doesn't want to publicly throw in the towel, you'd have to be pretty dumb to keep betting on these odds.. |

The team never said season done
They got the first evaluation of 4-6 weeks and then Weber decided to get a 2nd opinion. That opinion stated that the injury shouldnt get worst.
Fairly easy to understand... even I can.

He's not quite at Juulsen/Hishon levels, but ya that's a hard bet. - AdamFrench
Definitely a good D prospect though, maybe they'd do Byram along with that 2nd instead??

Sakic would be seen outside the Pepsi Centre with a rope around his neck
I do love the Price to Col talk though, it's pretty fun. |

And you'd have to be even dumber if you believe this same, small, unskilled, lunch-pail team can be competitive through a full 82 game schedule.
Why do you think they keep getting injured? Too small, weak and not willing to pay the price like Gallagher.
The season gets harder as it goes on. And the playoffs is a completely different animal. They're nowhere close to being competitive. |

Gallagher's kind of small...
I wonder if there are any metrics showing that bigger players are less often injured, and vice-versa... you would think there's a correlation, but maybe there's none at all.
imo they don't lack size or grit or courage, they lack talent. |

Gallagher plays big and is a warrior.
And you're 100% right. The one obvious and glaring thing is no talent.
The Habs are one of only 2 teams in the last 25+ years to not draft a 70 point player.
What a mess. |

Kypreos did his job and shared the bullpoop he was hearing, no surprise there. I'm more baffled about how the habs are managing injuries... I mean, how ridiculous does it look when you announce that a guy is out for at least 4 weeks, and then plays 2 days later |

Chantal Machabée with interesting info today, apparently Chara called Gally to apologise for the cross check.
Weber, Drouin and Byron should be in. Gally is a maybe.
I cannot for the life of me understand how it went 4-6 weeks for Weber to oh scratch that he's in...this is a lost season, are we really letting our captain play injured? He said he's not 100% but feels he can help...I do not get it. - Karine Hains
Dr Recchi was brought in for a second option and stated Weber was good to go. |
