A lot of people still crying about the referees but...

Leafs-Got-Lucky

Looks like it was in after all.

Goes both ways.

Reality is, Leafs got badly out worked and out played.

And their schedule isn't getting any easier this month.

Although I do think it was a goal and we were lucky, the issue with this picture is perspective. The puck is in the air 2 feet, and this camera distorts the perspective with a curved lense. You cannot tell were the ‘plain’ of goal line is in mid air in the picture to confirm if its over that plain or not... got it?

Canes traded Faulk in the off-season, now they lost Hamilton for a large chunk of time.

They could pair Barrie with Slavin, or shelter him on the 3rd pair with Edmundson.

They have 2 1sts, 2 2nds, and 2 3rds this year.

Barrie for our 1st back.

Carolina might be an option, Buffalo who MUST be looking to change things up on their blueline, Vegas, Minnesota, maybe the Islanders

As a passenger. 4th line center minutes.

What you're saying is if kerfoot is 4th liner then the leafs have a chance! Thanks!

At his cap hit, I don't think they would be able to entertain him as a 4th liner. But to the original point, somebody said he's a 2C on a lot of teams and that's just false. He's a bad 2C on a bad team. That's about it.

THE PUCK IS OVER THE LINE AND ANDERSEN'S PAD IS IN THE NET.
THERE IS NO QUESTION ABOUT THIS.

- ghetto puck

your eyes must be messed up... because the entire puck has to be over the red line

even with UG/JFJ's piss poor attempt to edit a picture the puck still remains on the line

and in the end - does it matter.

the puck heads in Toronto ruled it no goal.

How? Keep in mind the refs have 60 seconds to make the call and don’t have time to make advance math calculations from multiple camera shots???

I have always thought the NHL should add some technology to solve these type of issues. Could we not put a tracking ‘chip’ inside the pucks and have some in-ice or in-post sensors? I mean, we sent people to the moon 50 years ago yet we still rely on peoples judgement calls on goals? A sensor would also tell you if the puck was in even if it was hidden under the goalie... my 2 cents

Because it's a directly above view, it's not on an angle. You can clearly see the red goal line, you can see where it would continue and you can see the puck over that line.

Bozak was a 5 million dollar 4th liner. Leafs are fine with a 3.5 million dollar one. Thanks again! You're 2 for 2.

JFJ 2003-2008 GM

Traded for Leetch 👍

Traded Rask 👎

Traded for Bell and Toskala 👎

Fired Quinn 👎

Gave Jason Blake 5 year deal 👎

- mr.sir

you have overlooked how woefully unprepared JFJ was for the CAP arriving.... which cost the Leafs a bunch of pretty good veterans.

while the trade for Leetch was a great idea, giving up 2 1sts(I believe) for one playoff run and about a month of regular season was insane.

and it wasn't only that they traded Rask away... they took Raycrap in return... who despite winning a bunch of games was inconsistent and generally got worse as the season went on.

giving Blake any deal, let alone a 5 year overpaid one was pure insanity

JFJ's firing was also unfortunate because it gave Cliff Fletcher free reign to make the "awesome" Steen + Coliovacovo for Stempniak trade

I think their problem with the chip idea is that every puck would become a lot more expensive and it might change the way the puck moves, bounces, freezes, the weight of the puck etc.

I'd rather they not screw with the puck and just have cameras that can see as much as possible from as many angles as possible.
