After the two injuries on the backend, kind of feels like D is the biggest need. Thought Yelesin looked decent today...would be nice if he could solidify a spot. Was refreshing to see a Dman who plays a simple game rather than high risk passes like so many of our existing D (Hanifin !). Still, I think they have to see if they can get another decent Dman.

Other than 2 bad passes and since Gio went down Hanifin has been great!! Least of the Flames worries.

I’m confused. Shocking I know. Get Dillon, great. What happens when we get Gio and Hammer back. And why the fck would we resign him??? And also how does that help the Flames needing a top 6 right shot right winger? Just wondering?

I can remember him playing on the right side but if he's primarily a LD, then it probably doesn't make sense to resign him. If he's comfortable on his right side it does make sense...or if somebody else can move over. This is assuming they're going to lose harmonic and / or Brodie. They for sure need the depth for this season though with all the injuries, especially someone who can play top 4. They could also use a defensive defenseman on this team. Hamonic's the only guy who plays that role now, unless you also count Stone. Would be nice to have a legit shut down pairing, especially in the playoffs.

That's next season..in the case of resigning him. Both Brodie and Hamonic are RD of course so it might not make sense.

Well, jebus, here are we are two weeks later and Tre's evaluation period for the Flames has to be coming to an end, and from my perspective, I just don't think this is the year to be loading up - unless it's acquiring a player with some term left on their deal.
