Hes exactly what this team needs. I've wanted him here since ruff. Havent had a coach like that since ruff. Havent been good since ruff either. Should've waited til now to can housley in hindsight. Him and gallant are both without jobs.

Skinner and Olofsson have similar production with Eichel, and I think Skinner is a lot better without him than Olofsson would be.

I think i'm one of the few that doesn't mind skinner not being on L1. Maybe get him there to get him out of his "funk" but I think the team is better served with Olofsson there.

Im fine with him not being on L1.

Im not fine with him not producing, or even creating for himself. I understand his point totals will be different without Jack. But like it or not, he is now making "Elite" money, and needs to be able to show that he can do something on his own.

Had an Okay October, and From November on, 4 goals 10 points in the last 4 months.

You would think if he was so good as I am told he is, he would be able to produce I don't know 8-10 points a month which is what 56 points at a minimum.

Its not even hes just not scoring, hes not doing anything.

There are a lot of times, where it just seems hes not into it or where his name is barely called during a game. That is what I am not okay with.


For the Sabres sake he needs to start producing, and the Sabres need to do whatever it takes to get him to.

thx...I've been around, just posting on sparse days...

I don't know...we know ralph ain't touching the top line...why not?...who the hell knows, so skinner is on his own with whomever ralph gives him as linemates...is it tough love?...is it punishment for play away from the puck?...is it attitude from either ralph or skinner?

Fair enough. I was willing to follow the narrative of needing balanced lines but when everyone got healthy, and we finally played 12/6, skinner ended up on the worst line. Why not at least put him on the line with Lazar and MoJo? That could be a slightly respectable line, instead he puts JV there and plays Skinner with the two players I can't wait to see off this team. Definitely frustrating. It does feel like Skinner is being punished or something. And I miss seeing him smile. It wasn't long ago he was running for Mayor.

I was thinking about Tortorella last night and how his results speak for themselves but nobody ever stays on his teams.

Right now Dubinsky and Gerbe are the only players who extended their contract while facing UFA under tortorella.

I wonder if thats common around the league? Or if its just because columbus? Or if people just don't want to keep playing with him after they've been there.
