For what it's worth, a friend low in the scouting dept said Sabres working on a big package move including Miller, another D, prospect and picks... Vegas and Fla mentioned as possibilities, but nothing more could be shared. - Simple
Well, that sort of validates the Sabres / Vegas rumor from a couple days ago.
And maybe McCabe will finally go to the panthers. Rumored from this summer
Good stuff. Thanks for sharing |

Congrats to Jacob Bryson for getting his first pro goal last night for the Amerks. He has quietly had a very good first year as a pro. I would put him slightly ahead of Borgen at this point. Although they play different styles I would give Bryson the edge. I see him as McCabe's ultimate replacement at LD.
Dahlin
Pilut
Bryson
Samuelsson ( a few years away)
The Ryan Johnson pick at 31 last year is a joke, he'll be a bust. Just watch Kaliyev will be a stud.
6K had a rough game last night, let in a few softies. - mhp
I like your takes.
Interesting though on Johnson; Corey Pronman has him rated pretty highly... Vogel had a piece today in which he projected Dahlin, Johnson, Samuelsson as the LhD in 2sh years.
Good on Bryson. |

We are either drafting defensive defensemen or busting on forwards
Every team hits a good player in the second round sooner or later except the sabres
How can our drafting be so bad or off when guys like Debrincat, Brink, Lavoie or Kaliyev are on the board. We need offense so keep drafting defensive defensemen.
(I am not saying Samuelsson or Johnson are bad prospects just the wrong pick) |

Hey guys, I know the Sabres suck and we are all annoyed with everyone in Sabreland
So changing it up for a second, a bunch of you guys donated to my daughters donation drive for the Pet Alliance of Orlando last year and she (5 years old at the time) raised almost $2,000 in goods and money for them last year.
She is trying to beat that number this year.
If you guys feel like donating here is the amazon wish list she created with the help for people at Pet Alliance.
https://www.amazon.com/hz...N0SCLHNE9RO?ref_=wl_share
Thanks again guys.
Also that Sens game was heartbreaking but ultimately it was for the best that they lose that game so they don't have this grand vision of them making the playoffs

It makes sense.
Skinner isn't doing much out there currently, and you cant blame it all on the guys he is playing with. - ImThatGuy
skinner needs space...none of the center's he's played with since the hot start are capable of creating that space...his career shooting percentage is 10.7 and last year with Eichel and on the powerplay he set a career high with 14.9%...this year he's at 7.3%...he's the main focus of his line and teams are bottling him up...his 3.02 shots/game this year is slightly below his 3.3 career average but the quality of those shots are way down as he's not getting anywhere close to the looks he had last year with the space Eichel created for him |

I'll probably be proven wrong on Johnson lol. I just wanted Kaliyev at that spot. Johnson not making the world juniors tells me his development is gonna be slow. |

I somewhat disagree. Last year many of Skinner's goals were Ozone entries that led to a goal. |

am of the opining that botts should do two things:
--ship out either risto or Montour (thinking risto will be the one to go)
--ship out larry or frolic
that's all I got right now - Michael Pachla
I'm going on record- larry gets extended prior to the dead line. |

does it matter?...he had much better looks on Eichel's line and when playing with Eichel on the no. 1 pp unit...the same thing is happening right now with Olofsson |

Ya it matters. It matters when you pay a player 9,000,000 he can create offense on his own. |

Skinner and Olofsson have similar production with Eichel, and I think Skinner is a lot better without him than Olofsson would be.
I think i'm one of the few that doesn't mind skinner not being on L1. Maybe get him there to get him out of his "funk" but I think the team is better served with Olofsson there. |

Based on his trends, I fully expect him to have a bounce back yr next year.
That said, they probably shouldn’t have resigned him. |

that's not on skinner, that's on your favorite gm...however, that said, Johansson at his best playing a position he hadn't played in a while helped create enough space for skinner to pot five goals in the first seven games...victor rask is among many centers he played with in carolina that aren't jack Eichel yet he managed to average close to 29 goals/82 games...
the guy can score |
