what would you pay for him?
2020 1st, Mitts, +?

27 yo
37 pts, on pace for 55sh
last 2 seasons = 56, 78
$5.9M Cap for next 6 years

I would think it is an off-season move since they are in the middle of a tight PO chase

Where's the one where he slams down the papers? That is the best one. Love it. After he does it, he has this mannerism that is reminiscent to when Patrick Bateman splits Paul Allen's head open with an axe. LOL!

Ok please tell me how the Leafs, Panthers, Habs, Predators, Wild, and others I’m sure wouldn’t be able to make the same argument. All teams have players/goalies that go in and out of slumps. Let’s say if Skinner scored 30 that could have made up 8 points or if the defence stopped deflecting pucks into their own net that is worth 4 points. Sure you can say if you had Rask or Jary then maybe you make up 8 points but that’s not even a sure thing. Wasn’t too long ago Leaf fans were crapping all over Hutch now they are getting ready to roast Anderson. Freddie’s save % since he returned from injury is worse than Hutchˋs.
In their case Leaf fans can blame them both but not Jack Campbell cause he’s the new saviour similar to Bob in Florida. Stay tuned as they all get their turn.

There are different ways of building a strong team. I never said once we don’t need to add offensive talent (that in fact would take us from playoff contender to perennial cup contender).

The Sabres are built to win the 2-1 game just like Dallas, Columbus, and NYI. Their goalies make the saves, ours don’t.

Toronto is built to win the 5-4 game. They haven’t scored enough to our pace their horrendous defence and goaltending.

Combine the Sabres defensive game with the Leafs offensive game and that’s where Tampa and Pittsburgh sit.

Hutton not crapping all over himself would have put us in playoff contention, I never said anything about us being a cup contender.

4 wins the other way would put Hutton at 15-6-4 (114 point pace)

It feels optimistic that your backup goalie should have that record.

He was a problem, absolutely. The lack of a functional middle 6 sunk us way more than his poopty sv%

He still went 11-10-4

The owners suck. The GM sucks. The coach sucks.

The Pegulas want a GM who will allow them to be a part of the decision making process. They will always hire weak GMs because a strong GM would never allow non hockey people to be involved with hockey decisions.

Even if they fire Botts like they should have when they fired Housley, they will only replace him with another weak GM and the cycle will continue.

The only hope for things to get better before they die, is for them to realize they are the problem and remove themselves completely from the equation.

Terry Pegula is a borderline retard. He shouldn’t have a say in anything going on with the roster of this franchise.

Why am I slowly being consumed with feelings of this all is starting to feel like the rams in saint Louis? I know the Pegulas love this team and city but maybe they are looking to sell?

I've thought maybe it's too much, to run both the Sabres and Bill's? I'm sure selling the Sabres has crossed their minds.

The harbor center makes me believe it's long term though.

I would say 15-8-2. And he’s more a 1B than your traditional back up goaltender with the amount of starts he’s getting since Ullmark went down. Add those 6 extra points to our point total right now and we are 2 points out with a game in hand.

It goes both ways. He lost two games where he had a .950 and a .930 sv% So should those be moved to wins? Because he deserved to win those

If we're moving losses to wins, then we should move his 47 save shutout to a loss?

I dont feel like doing the math, but I'd like two see his save percentage if you removed his 2 highest sv% games (2 shutouts) and his 2 lowest (.615 and .793)

I think it’s reasonable to say we’d have won a few more games with a different goalie
Hutton was pretty horrible during that 0-8-2 stretch

With a team that limits chances as well as the sabres do, it’s the expectation that the goalie saves 93% of the harmless shots he faces on a nightly basis.

Like Jesus Christ dude, the Sabres being bottom 10 in GAA with the defensive play we’ve had is as likely as the Leafs being bottom 10 in goals for with the amount of offensive talent they have.

I don’t know why this is so hard to comprehend.
