I agree, that is what everyone says about him.
Now let's see that trajectory of improvement continue.
He become much more accurate in mid field balls, which was huge...continue with incremental improvement...improve rather dramatically on dismal long ball comp, action percentage by improving woeful accuracy there...and make decisions slightly faster...he showed pretty good improvement there as well.

He is fun to watch.

Todd McShay is anti Allen and pro Darnold and Kiper is the exact opposite and it's kinda funny.

Yet I don’t see many people making excuses for Huberdeau that they make for Skinner.

Put a 4th liner with Huberdeau and he scores back to back hat tricks.

Skinner scores 4 goals in 37 games and we are supposed to pat him on the back for getting chances, and blame his linemates because he can’t score on other teams’ bottom pairs and bottom offensive groups.

- 20% Medium Danger shots
- 50%+ High Danger Shots.
I'd say he isn't getting the same quality chances.
I wonder why.

Actually, HE IS making it hard to make a deal.
But the media reports it is hard to make a deal.

Brandon Beane is crying in his chair this morning about being unable to sign 35 year old AP to a 1 year deal. Skins used their club option to extend him for a year.

A couple months ago I said on here that I was certain Beane would go after him. It's unfortunate that we aren't able to see if that would be true.

So does a new gm come in and get us a 2C right away, or does he take an evaluation period to assess what he has?

😀

Pretty sure the Sabres job is a top opening, eichel and dahlin , could mold this team immediately

Except Bogo. And Kane. And God. And Pommer. And Nylander.

But I hear what you're saying.

I AM NOT SAYING HE DIDN'T HAVE OPPORTUNITY TO CHANGE THE ROSTER

but

This offseason has the greatest opportunity for change with all the contracts falling off. How he handles this particular offseason will define his tenure as the Sabres GM.

If he makes it that far.

Greg Tompsett @GregTompsett

A team acquiring Stefan Diggs would be taking on the remaining 4 yrs $45.1M of his deal with the 1st year guaranteed

Rumor is a 2nd rd price tag

To be fair, Huberdeau and Skinner aren’t even in the same league. Hurber is an elite talent, Skinner is a good player with consistency issues
- lulags

If that is the case the Sabres are going to be saddled with the worst contract in the NHL.

Probably because he produced last year is my guess. He's not even supposed to be their feature back.

Im sorry, but eventually you have to start blaming the player.

He cant just wait around to rely on others to feed him gimme goals.

He needs to go out and do it on his own, maybe once or twice.

Is that too much to ask that he make chances and opportunities for himself?

And yet he's played with Evan Rodrigues, Curtis Lazar, Marcus Johansson and one of two other perennial all-stars as his center.

Put him with Eichel, like he was last year, and if he still has 11 goals, then we can give Flaccoville all the credit he incessantly begs for on an hourly basis on here.

The issue is, you have to get people to want to come here.

This season has only made the situation in Buffalo worse.

I have a feeling we are going to see some of these guys we want gone, re-signed, because they need bodies.

Relying on Cozens to just come in and be 2nd line center is a huge stretch IMO, and Mitts has proven he is still not ready.
