They're not trading Dahlin.
- Powerslave

I agree, not sure why people want to do that? If Botts traded Dahlin, he gets fired 2 minutes later, unless McDavid is coming back, and we all know that’s not happening.

How about the games before that? Has a small cold streak and he is the issue, our 3rd leading scorer?
- Lilroot9

Only on hockeybuzz

Sam excuse after sam excuse.

He's hot and cold, he starts slow, hes basically a 30 goal scorer.

2 (frank)ing shots in 3 games playing top pp1 minutes on eichel and olloffsons line.

Hes been the issue. He is slow and brings 0 intensity.

Sam 2nd over all pick reinfardt
Last 3 games

0 goals 1 assist 1 point. 2 shots

Olofsson with the same center (eichel) coming off a major injury

3 goals 2 assists 5 points 12 shots

Sammers gonna die on the hill

What a joke of a player

- Boss34

Hey, he's got points though.. we shouldn't expect nor ask for more of an effort from Sam, ever, especially down the stretch, in must win games. If you don't notice him being present on the ice, you must not have a big enough TV.

People flipped out over what Murray did now they want Botterill to jump just to jump to accomplish what? show the fans ?
- SABRES 89

I think preaching patience with prospects, the jamming mitts and tage into the lineup was piss poor asset management last year. Both should have been down before December last year and started in Rochester this year.

And then forcing mitts to 2c this year or relaying on a 3LW to fill the 2c was a piss poor plan for the next year.

Rolling into this year with too many d men was also ill advised and not the best asset management, while simultaneously, potentially, upsetting a young d man who may bolt to Europe because of the yo-yo of too many d men and being stuck in the Ahl, even though he is clearly better than some who have played ahead of him.

And let’s not even get into the utilization of skinner which clearly falls on the coach. But seriously, wtf? When olo went down and skinner returned, you staple skinner on jacks line. Or at minimum get him on pp1 in place of mojo. Come on Ralph!

So, no, I don’t expect botts to jump for the sake of jumping. I do expect the stiff to better manage his assets.

He supposedly learned from GMJR in Pittsburgh. Clearly a Hof gm who built 2 cup teams and has 3 to his resume. I expect him to be better than he has.

Well, to be honest, all the generational talk you and everyone else swore was a cant miss guarantee, I guess my expectation was raised to closer 130 points, not 80. So yeah. Thanks. 👍

Down by 1500 or so people, ok.
- SABRES 89

That's 61500 fewer tickets sold over a season. That is not insignificant.

GMJR doesn't care about " next year" never has. Botterill does and has to, we don't have what the Pens have.

True, it’s a different build when you have malkin, Crosby, and solid goal tending. There window is still open for a bit.

It still doesn’t take away from botts piss poor asset management recently.

89 you can’t spell and use such terrible grammar and tell others to get educated. You are barely literate. Also, you berate others for posting on here often when you pretend to be some insider that never has any inside knowledge. What’s more pathetic than that? You are literally trying to have some type type of status on a hockey rumor site meant for fans to gripe and talk nonsense.
- Beethoven

Never said I was an insider, never and never claimed to be. Status ? that's funny never claimed or tried for that either. what terrible grammar, You just joined on here and act like you have been here. Keep striving.

Yeah, 2816 per game. If that number holds for the year that will be 115456 total unsold seats. At, call it $70 on average, it's an $8,081,920 difference.

even going off last year's numbers they're losing over $2.2M. I don't know what kind of business is ok with that.

I think this season is a bit of a lost cause. They'll tweak a couple of things for next year, pump it up for fan consumption and see what happens.
