Taxes too dam high - hubie
Village taxes are ridiculous in Kenmore.
"Back in the day" they would plow/shovel the sidewalks as part of the taxes from what I understand |

Apparently he is scrambling to make a deal or deals,
but no one wants our crap.
Since he either added or resigned the Crap,
Is he patient or merely ineffective?
Get a 2C and a 2 or 3RW, I'll then stand with him. - IonSabres
None of that is going to happen until the off season IMO |

The trades that have happened, wouldnt really help the Sabres out long term unless it's a sign and trade ror style.
Haven't seen a 2c moved and most guys are ufa or 1 year left.
I still think he makes a splash trade.
Johnny hockey would be fun, yes he's a lw. Couple years left at 6+. Maybe a set up move for roster surgery?
I doubt this happens , but that would bring some excitement |

They are without a 1st and 2nd rounder in one of the deepest draft classes of the last 10 years, their cap situation is ugly moving forward, and the only reason they are in a playoff position this year is because Markstrom is playing out of his mind and the Pacific division is a steaming pile of $hit.
They are missing out on adding two prospects to their pipeline to win long term and moved a prospect in Madden that has the look of a 3C with potential to be a 2C.
If Toffoli resigns then that’s great, if not it’s a disaster. - Pegullaville
They'll be a playoff team for several years with the roster they have. Their cap situation is not nearly as bad as you are making it out to be. They traded a potential 2C/3C, but they have Horvat, Miller and Pettersson (playing wing, but drafted as a center).
The rhetoric of 'deepest draft ever' is starting to get old. The experts keep saying that with the talent level nowadays of the kids, every year moving forward will be the 'deepest draft ever'. They're already saying that the top 3 in '22 are the best top 3 ever. |

I doubt there are many Canucks fans who would rather have their first round pick back than Miller's 57 points in 59 games |

Their cap situation isn't Tampa bad but it's not great
Plus their starting goaltender is a pending UFA
They'll have about $18 million to work with which isn't impossible but they have that Okposo like contract in Eriksson
Their forwards though look really good and are still young minus Eriksson and Suter
Madden is going to be a really good player though
While I agree Vancouver didn't "need" a center theres no reason they couldn't play him on the wing and have that versatile forward |

I didn't think he was going to be as productive as he has been for them but Miller was the talk around the Risto rumors over the summer |

In the offseason trade Mitts, Montour and our 1st (top 3 protected) to Tampa for Point.
Point is one of the only players without a NTC. They have no RD signed after this season. They only have about $6m (plus whatever the cap increases by) to sign 9 players.
Unless they can get 1 or 2 of Gourde, Johnson or Killorn to waive their NTC and find someone to take on one of those contracts, they'll have a tough time re-signing Cirelli this summer or filling out the rest of the roster. |

Tampa is painted in the corner cap wise but even then I don't see them moving Point
They will do everything in their power to keep him
Why wouldn't they? A ppg player with a cap hit below $7 million |

I doubt the fans will have 2nd round pick FOMO while watching playoff hockey
That JT Miller trade also looks brilliant right now. They're unlikely to get a point per game player at that draft position - jcragcrumple
Seeing Tyler Madden in a Kings jersey might hurt though.
There will be a few 2nd rounders from this year that we will be talking about in a few years, the Kings have drafted quite well these past few years and I would not be surprised if they hit on the pick they got for Toffoli. |

Toffoli probably ends up staying in Vancouver but even so Madden is going to be one of those core players in LA.

Vancouver is much better in the short term because of the moves they made, they are risking the longevity of their playoff window though for the sake of opening it early.
We’ll see if it pans out. |

He could be a top 6 winger as well
But he's going to be a very good NHLer |

By acquiring a third-round pick in 2020 from the Jets, the #Sens seven picks in the first three rounds in what's considered a strong draft. |

It's sad to see how Myers is literally just a guy for thme at that $6M hit. I think I saw he has like 18 pts in 60 games. |

One of the main blue check mark guys.. maybe Dreger said that WPG is not done yet on the blue line and also looking for a top 6 F but the market is still extremely high cost for a forward right now.
Just like we have been hearing about why Botts hasn't made a move. |
