Why does River always pump up bad players.

He actually said Bogo would be a "great player" on an opposing team. I mean.. stop it.

- TheSabresTaco

He loves anyone who checks people. He likes to list off the heights and weights of players and prospects.

He also said what Kassian did was not dangerous, and no one was injured...sooo....

Dahlin already has out pointed Ekblad in his best season.
- dadeadhead

Correct, and Ekblad got 8 for 60 i think it was.

~5% increase per year for contract inflation is already 8.25

Add another 5% ish on to that and you are looking at 8.75

You try and lock Dahlin up to an 8 year deal as soon as possible.

I wish teams would offer sheet more often but sadly they just don't. to answer your question it would totally frank us
- hehateme

But like you said you could say that about virtually every RFA for the past several years.

I'm not concerned about this franchise signing him before that can even happen.
- TheSabresTaco

Wouldnt the Sabres have to sign him before next off season to avoid rfa status? When is the earliest an offer sheet can be signed for a rfa?

I think they lock him up this offseason for 8 years.

Seems like he would be the biggest rfa free agent in years?

20 year old generational defenseman with 3 years of experience and north of 150 points.

Botts knows this

Call Calgary and see if McCabe and Bennett swap makes sense for each other.

Don't kill the messenger but Botts is in the process of looking to unload players for picks to move up in the draft for a player that can play in the NHL next year. He feels we are close with the current core + Cozens and will be putting all chips into next year.

Expect to see a very aggressive Botts in the coming months, I know, weird to imagine.

That means he needs to get into the top 3 ......

Yes. Yes it does. Lol. I mean at least my uneducated opinion thinks so!

Solid bottom 6 guy. Might be able to sneak onto the second line. He’d be a good building block.

And there's no way he's getting into the top 3.

He just doesn't have the ammo, nor the ammo to GET the ammo, unless we're trading Rhino to a team in the top 10, and I doubt he even gets you that return, imo.

and then we can see what would have happened if GMTM had the next pick in the draft as well.

Brings some grit, and only has 1 more year on his contract at 2.8 mill.

7.7 million available under the cap

Have to think Botts brings in some cap hits to help another team out, IF we fall out of playoff contention.

We're still building and extra picks would be a great bonus

Wonder if McCabe's "A" means he's a main guy here in management's view

buffalo is going to have some pretty sizable bonus Payouts to watch out for.

Dahlin alone i think is 2Mil+

Not sure how unloading Larry for a 3rd helps us move from 11 to 3.

Borgen is a better option, If McCabe could get Bennett I would do it.
