Not with this roster. no freaking way. 50 pts tops - hehateme
Again he’s on pace for a tad more than 51 now and was on pace for 58/59ish on a full 82. |

70 pts! No way he puts up that many points with this current roster. i agree with Homie, he absolutely has offensive upside, but defensively meh...... - hehateme
Hes going to sign a big contract. Its just how much its going to be.
He has no reason to sign a bridge deal with this team.
Look at Ekbald, Hes getting a deal closer to that, than he is a Bridge. |

With how he is pacing and with the remaining games left he should finish right around 50 or 51 points
He is pacing at 59 points per 82 games currently and this takes into his funk that he was in before his injury |

Poll time.
What's the most likely outcome of the TDL for the Sabres?
1.) Sell 1-2 UFAs for futures
2.) Sell 3+ UFAs for futures
3.) Swap of a defenseman for a forward
4.) Trading futures and/or prospects for a player
5.) No movement - jcragcrumple
I’m going with 2 out. 1 in...

I can't believe I'm going down this road again...
But for the millionth time, he's 19. It's his second year in the league. If he had stayed healthy all year, he'd be on pace for 58 points.
12 more points is ABSOLUTELY within reach next year. |

He also has 14 points in his last 15 games (or just go 14 points in the 16 games since the New Year)
Next season he could really breakout |

Dahlin already has out pointed Ekblad in his best season. |

Erod looking like the player I thought he would be lately, doesnt mean much
I'm not trying to die on the johansson hill. My point is beyond any specific player. He just happens to be pretty new here and holds some real credentials - ieetbred
I would say it's a bit too late to not "die on the Johansson hill".
Last night your point was a specific player - Johansson
Its ieetbred-Johansson mountain range as far as I'm concerned.
Forever 😀 |

i have no doubt in my mind that dahlin will be a very good offensive D-man, my issue is that he plays Defense and so far that part of his game has been below average. I get that he is 19 and hopefully he gets better.
I agree he will get paid, I just don't know if it will be at the end of next season but who knows.... |

Which brings us back around, in that there's no way he signs an extension this summer. |

Why does River always pump up bad players.
He actually said Bogo would be a "great player" on an opposing team. I mean.. stop it. |

Agree, I dont see a good argument why he would want to wait. The theory is there but why would he take a bridge deal while others are getting stupid contracts. |

Would you be concerned if a team like the habs offered him an aho 5 x 10 million, next off season?
Of course , dahlin would be a rfa and we would be able to match, but they would cut his term and possibly up his value?
That would suck |

I think we all know here that points don't totally define a player. That said, regardless of points, I firmly believe Dahlin will surpass Ekblads career. Analytically, I don't know if he has yet. But I'm certain he will soon. |

Don't kill the messenger but Botts is in the process of looking to unload players for picks to move up in the draft for a player that can play in the NHL next year. He feels we are close with the current core + Cozens and will be putting all chips into next year.
Expect to see a very aggressive Botts in the coming months, I know, weird to imagine. |

Not very surprised based on Dahlins deployment, but with Montour playing with Risto, that's kinda impressive.
But, ya know.. plus minus. |
