The only teams I see us doing an actual hockey trade with are the ones not in the playoffs. So detroit, LA, Ducks, Sharks, NJ, NYR
Even then it's incredibly rare to see at the TDL. Even the Montour trade last year wasnt really a hockey trade. It was essentially a buyer's move because of the "extra" sabres draft capital. The likelihood of seeing Risto moved for a good NHL forward feels very unlikely - jcragcrumple
He doesn't want to move Risto but he may have to now. Reinhart was his priority but as of late, Montour has been also. Risto makes 5.4 mill a year for 2 more years and you can pay Montour that and move Risto. He has more upside with Risto and Botterill know's that but, how much will Risto want after is the question. That's what I heard. |

End of the day, this team's not changing while Botts hustles mid round picks for average players.
Do something big, change the team. |

I dont know what you think a 2C will cost.... but if you think youre getting one without deal a 1 is wishful thinking.
I really do like the Madden kid Vancouver dealt. I play some sim based hockey leagues and have him in one so i did some research on him. I think he will be come a very high end 3rd C lower 2C caliber player. He does it all (long story short what eh thought we got in Larsson) - hubie
Not for Trocheck, you give a 1st for Cirelli not Trocheck. Botterill has asked about Cirelli already but Tampa always seems to get to keep there good players and get them to take less to stay. Winning does that. |

Has Krueger really convinced Risto to be here long term? I'd be surprised if Risto were interested in an extension even if the Sabres were. I know we're 2+ years from that but still |

They are going to have to move Cirelli or Sergachev in the off-season (they will get a great package for either) they're in a tough spot cap wise.
They only have 2 D men signed and their cap is already at $75 million |

Nothing to do with Krueger, Botterill know's and has a plan ( sorry to say) Have to pay Sam and Dahlin, what makes sense to you ? He wants to keep Risto but this may be the time he goes, now or later. |

I dont think Botts or Krueger could convince him, needs to see wins and feel like a winner to want to extend, as of now...he gon leave |

Are we talking offseason or next week? Florida is still within striking distance of a playoff spot as well. Trading Trochek hurts that cause. - buffalofan19
It was just one of those rumors out there. |

Not really, neither do much of anything...perfect replacement
Now if Botts moves him for a 4th or more then it's a win! |

That’s interesting....... botts seems to be all over the place plans wise. I get that Sam and dahlin are coming contract wise.
But he can’t be afraid to move players in to help the current team.
You can always shed salary for a price. It’s not impossible. Botts can’t be gming scared

Who said he was afraid ? and he's not all over the place. Reinhart and Dahlin along with Montour will cost. It's called prioritizing. |

Ah forgot about McDonagh
But still that's a tough spot they are in
10 million in cap space to sign 6-7 players and two of them are Cirelli and Sergachev |
