Problem with dale was two fold.
1- the immediate stop. No time for the energy to dissipate. 180+ to zero, that transition is what killed him.

2- less safety equipment, no head and neck restraints, the cars were solid but vastly different from the car of tomorrow and subsequent versions.

Glad Ryan is ok and hopefully he makes a quick recovery.

IMO, he's a bit expensive for a 3RW. They can live with it through next season, but if they can get a solid return I'd move him...prefer not to retain though.
