I'm no expert but I assume it has something to do with having to expose him to waivers after signing him to an NHL contract so they can keep him in Rochester for now.

So when h e makes 6-7 mill next year and everyone complains thats ok?
- hubie

I mean 6-7 for a 60-70pt player is about the going rate.

So yeah, (frank) the complainers.

Sure, if he wants 9M he's getting traded. No doubt.

At the same point, it's just funny to me that the few good players we have seem to be the ones that draw the most ridicule.

Kid's got 4 points in his last 5 games and people are talking about how he didn't score last night? This is getting crazy lol.

The Sabres have signed Amerks forward Taylor Leier to a one-year, two-way contract worth $700,000. Acquired for Justin Bailey, he has seven goals, eight points in 17 games with Rochester.

Taylor Leier will stay with the Amerks and not report to the Sabres (assuming he claims waivers, which are necessary with new contract).

Liere extended by the Sabres this morning, then put on waivers thi afternoon?

Lunion, please help me understand this?

- Boss34

Looks like others have hit on it, but they have to send him down after signing him. He's not waiver exempt, so he has to clear first.

I think it's just a pre-deadline move, so they have enough bodies available if they move guys out.

I was one of about 10 Sabres fans in 118 last night.

There was a hell of a lot of taunting going on early in the first, and after they tied it up 2-2. I was giving and getting it, both ways.

Some big Letterkenny farm boy was sitting two rows behind me - dipped his finger in his beer at 2-0 and flung the drips at the back of my neck. I told him I would come up to talk to him at the first intermission.

When it came time he stayed in his seat and just read his phone.

Poser.

I never complained about him he turned his career around I just don't want a 7m winger that won't ever score 30-40g

Yes, in terms of RWs his 48 points rank 10th best.

SO most any team that gets him he would be their best RW.

I see on hockey ref 17th
which would be average

- hubie

Thats the thing, some sites have him listed as a C others a RW, its so difficult to tell.

Either way, that's still top line production.

Ugh, yeah. 70 points is good production.

Right now Samson is 44th in points. Not saying point totals are the end all, but based on the fact that's what everyone seems to female dog about...

Yes, he is producing like a first line player.

He plays on a line with eichel.

Everyone can look and see that he has good point totals.
That's all sammers have - look at his points.

You went to the game last night. Basically our season on the line, solid team effort.

0 g 0 assists 0 points 1 shot 0 hits from Sam

Talk about bringing intensity to a big game ?

Did you even notice him, aside from the turnovers and the 1 nice pass to victor?

2/3 guys trying to shut eichel down every shift.

His points are inflated , they shouldn't pay him big $ for what eichels doing.

- zero leadership
- zero clutchness
- zero strength in battles

But hey , 60-70 points

There's only a few players that are untouchable, every one else should be available for the write deal, if it makes this team better, that should be the only concern. Everything should be in consideration.

Regardless. If he can pot 25-35 goals and 65-75 points a year with Eichel you sign him.

Its what Okposo was supposed to do. Its what many here female doged about for so long about getting Eichel players that can play with him.
