Good night for the Pens... Both Isle and Caps lose. Only one point back with two games in hand. With all the injuries, it's hard to imagine that would be possible. - madmike71

So far I rank the best deals as Zucker best, Coleman, Toffoli worst. |

I know that he's a right D, and injured constantly, but I wouldn't mind them bringing in Bogosian as a depth option. However, if they were going to do that, they'll have to send a salary dump. I don't think that we have one outside of JJ |

We have Letang, Marino and Schultz on the right side. Bogo sucks and makes $5M. As much as I don't like Ruh (at least not lately), I would rather roll with him than Bogo for the cost involved. |

He's a very average player. It honestly wouldn't be worth the assets, even as a depth piece IMO. - burgh4life87
I agree with this assessment of Martinez unless somehow JJ was going the other way. |

Also to add to this, if Marino made Gudbranson expendable, why can't POJ, if ready next season make JJ expendable? - 668710
That's the hope. Much more likely to happen than Marino's miracle ascension, too. Plus, he only has to play third pairing. |

Right, Marino jumped in and took over second pair. POJ I'm hoping takes over JJ and Ruth tries and pulls the trigger. |

Don't know if anyone else heard or said this but POJ has been playing top pair for WBS. Not sure how he's been doing. Where's our WBS guy? - 668710
He has been playing really well. The past month he has been showing great improvement. He is starting to look more comfortable on the ice. My friend (who is the Strength coach for WBS) reported he actually seemed pretty drained from being sick earlier in the season, but he has been showing great improvements in strength and power (which is translating to the ice). POJ actually had a 2 goal game to win it last Thursday and he is starting to shoot the puck more. His shot is starting to get some power in his shot which is great. His confidence is growing. I could see him potentially making his way up by the end of the season/beginning of next season the way he is improving. |

Pittsburgh hockey now reports Pittsburgh was scouting Colorado. The thought is they previously had interest in Jarry. They are speculating that potentially in the offseason Jarry may get moved to Colorado.
As a side note would you guys do Bjugstad, a prospect (maybe Agozzino), and a 3rd round pick for Dillon and Thornton? |

Two relatively big trades yesterday... Greene to NYI and Toffoli to VAN... so much for the theory about teams not trading within their own division... |

I like Dillon ok because I think we could use the D depth, but Jumbo Joe just doesn't have the wheels to fit in with the Pens.
Revised: Bjug and 2021 2nd for Dillon. |

I mean yeah, but I don't see why SJ would do that. They're about the rebuild so Bjugstad is not a good piece and a 3rd is a pretty major low ball. |

I also agree with what you guys are saying. I think they like POJ more than Riikola so I'm hoping if he's ready they won't hold him back. Seems like the type of defenseman Sully likes: skilled guys who developed as 2 way players rather than just focus on offense. See Dumoulin, Pettersson, Marino. |

Thanks as always for the updates!
Curious question, what's up with Bellerieve? He's showing up on the score sheet a lot more lately yet can't get off the fourth line. |

If it's JJ sure, but Maatta is in danger of being bought out he's been so bad. I don't really want him back. |
