So much for Toffoli going cheap. Madden was rated higher than Addison in Pronman's midseason rankings, 40 v 52, so that's a real good prospect. Close to what we paid for Zucker really.
Nobody stands out in the Pacific though I still keep expecting more from Vegas, so maybe this helps get them in and win a round or two before facing a main contender. Seems like an overpay if they don't sign him though. - Tojo.
Is that former Devils John Madden's son? He was born in NY so I'm thinking maybe.
Yeah, high price given what you mention. I'm rooting for Vancouver since NJ has their 1st round pick now. |

Lol too bad Ruth likes to reward his goalies as he was one of them in the past ha! - Barnaby36
He also got burned by Cam Ward so I hope that sticks in his mind when dealing with an extension for Murray. |

I REALLY hope Rakell or Kreider don’t end up in Boston. |

There was talk that Jim and Sully didn't like the pace of his game and thought he might be a bit overwhelmed by the speed of our system. I still don't think D is worth trading for unless Dumo can't return. We will see. I think another wing would suffice. We have a lot of good utility guys, but someone who plays with speed and can shoot the puck is never a bad pick up. Craig Smith might be available and he plays the type of game we like. - burgh4life87
I keep hearing that but I've always thought Toffoli had pace. He just looks stoned.
I still like the idea of getting a 2LD: 1. as insurance against Dumo not coming back strong, and 2. to push JJ out of the lineup during the playoffs.
Just imagine how much better our lineup would be with an offensively gifted 2nd pairing defenseman. I think we could also spread out the amount each pairing plays so we don't wear out Letang or a freshly healed Dumo. |

Kings now have 7 prospects in Pronman's top 53 now plus getting another high pick. The rebuild is well underway there. |

Boeser out with Rob cartilage fracture. Ferlund out for rest of season with concussion like symptoms. This just makes it even worse. How are the Canucks truly going to compete? He's getting Toffoli to replace Boeser but now they need to add another forward to get over that hump. |

Yikes, they might need Toffoli just to help get in then. The standings are too tight to slip. |

Dont get me wrong, I would love someone to push JJ out, but I don't think it happens. Giving him top pair minutes this season kind of shows they are trusting him more, which I hate.
Are there really many offensively gifted LHD out there that are not a total liability defensively? |

Supposedly they'll listen on everyone but Kopitar and Doughty, the plan is to plug in youth around them right around when all the bad contracts expire and they'll also have a ton of cap space. Besides Martinez, not sure anyone has value though. |

A RW made more sense for Boston so I thought Toffoli might go there. They almost have to counter Tampa and do something for their scoring depth, they have too many passengers at forward.
I thought the market for Kreider would be limited to teams like Boston, St. Louis, and maybe Dallas who think they have a real shot, but Vancouver surprised me though it sounds like they had to do something just to aecure their spot. |

Don't know if anyone else heard or said this but POJ has been playing top pair for WBS. Not sure how he's been doing. Where's our WBS guy? |

Wyshynski tweeted that Martinez is as good as gone, but the Kings want to keep particular vets around to mentor and support the youth movement. Which is smart IMO |

Can Martinez play LD? I see he's a left shot but cap friendly has him as RD. Could be the guy we need with Dumo out. |

He's a very average player. It honestly wouldn't be worth the assets, even as a depth piece IMO. |

Also to add to this, if Marino made Gudbranson expendable, why can't POJ, if ready next season make JJ expendable? |

Ok I haven't watch the Kings so no clue. Really wanted Scandella. Could still be an option I suppose come deadline. |

I can get behind this! Not much of a point producer, but his possession numbers have been great this season. He would be a nice fit. |

Things might look up for the Avs if this is true.... Would be hysterical if he won as many cups with the Avs as Roy did....

Haha wow, that would be crazy. Still Rantanen is a mega loss, they would need to add a forward. |

Good night for the Pens... Both Isle and Caps lose. Only one point back with two games in hand. With all the injuries, it's hard to imagine that would be possible.
