if well surrounded yes they could, just as much as BOS or STL did.
but with Chiarot, Domi and Byron... no, not a chance.

Well after you pay Petry, Tatar, Gallagher and Danault you won't have any money to surround them better!

And no they really can't! Let alone as they get older, this team will never win a (frank)ing thing Fido!

not if you get rid of contracts like Price and Weber's and chiarots, for instance.

let's rebuild, yes, but intelligently by keeping the best values like danault, petry, tatar, etc,

wait 2 years. give time to Suzuki and kk to become what we expect of them.
package Domi for a D.
they'll have as much of a chance as any othe team not named TB.

You're gonna get rid of Weber and Price to have money to sign Petry and Tatar? And expect to get better?

Gonna sell your car so you can buy new tires for it too?

And for the price, Chiarot is great value

Next year, what's the rush?

By that time you have a better idea of who's who in your prospect pool and you can target a need.... gotta have a plan Fido, although I do like the try the same thing plan, it might be time for something else

So, *if* we're to trade Weber, it's not this year, and it'll only be to 1 team: Nashville. If Weber gets hurt or is contemplating retirement, we can bend Nashville over and (frank) em harder than Subban is (frank)ing Jersey right now. Sell early, and we lose that, and when the team that gets him does it, we'll female dog and moan about letting him go early.

can't wait for next year. Habs will have Tatar, Danault, Gallagher, Petry... all pending UFAs... you'll have a ball!

Blake Coleman got a 1st and a better prospect as opposed to Toffoli who got a 2nd and a meh prospect, because of the extra year... the time is now, not next year... and with the Habs luck, I can see one of the 2 getting injured right before the deadline next year

And you forgot Armia

Coleman makes 1.8M, not 5M
but yes TB paid a bit much for Byron 2.0

Habs could sell Tatar at around 2.6 million for next year to make sure they get that kind of a return

why don't you try to trade Domi, Drouin, Lekhonen and Byron instead

What are you gonna get for Byron? I said to trade Byron last year and you laughed at me, well hahaha could have got a B prospect for him, a Josh Brook type, no guarantees but the more of those guys you have, the better the odds that one or 2 really impress

Lehkonen should fetch a 2nd rounder!

Domi you're selling low and you have time, but sure... I'd be down for trading one of Domi or Drouin.... but Tatar too!

All comes back to not wanting to pay Tatar close to 7 million for 6 years... but you're ok with that so we're never gonna agree here

Between those 2, Drouin would be the one I'd get rid of.
We'll never win anything with that guy, he just lacks character and desire.

I prefer to give 6M to Tatar than to give it to Domi or Drouin. not even close.
and you must be mistaking me for someone else, I would never have laught at you for trading Byron. I've been saying for years they need to get bigger!

If Domi can chill the (frank) out and accept the fact that he's gonna play LW, I agree 100% but can you really trade Drouin now and not expect to get robbed?
