doubtful IMO, that means he would have to quite university next year, not sure they want that. They will be patient with him, no need to bring him for that dumpster fire that this season is.

His NCAA team sucks, they'll likely be out in the 1st playoffs round. He'll have plenty of time afterwards to play either in Montreal or Laval if that's the plan for his development (at least a month I think).

i would imagine AHL next year is better for his development than NCAA. plus signing this year and playing pro games puts him a year closer to RFA/UFA. it would be tempting for him.

that's for guys who play in the Canada junior system. once you sign a pro contract you are ineligible for NCAA.

He's leading his team in scoring by almost 10 points as an 18 years old. I think he'd benefit by playing with better players in Laval as well.
