I would like to see the Leafs look at a trade with the Wild. I would offer Der-Arguchintsev, Kerfoot, Bracco and Hollowell for Dumba and a third provided the Wild keeps two million or more of Dumba's salary each year for the whole contract. It might cost Robertson rather than Der-Arguchintsev but that would be worth it for the salary cap implications going forward. Saves some money to sign Muzzen and resign Reilly.

Imagine a blueline with Reilly at 5m, Muzzen at 5m, Dumba at 3.5m, Holl at 2m, Dermott at 2.5m, Sandin at 1.5+m, and Lilijgren at 1+m next year. After that some more money will have to be spent on defense.

I'm still a fan, but i think it's moot. All you read and hear is how much the ducks love him and won't be trading him.
