There's a reason why the Sabers always play the Leafs hard in there home rink. Its the embarrassment factor. Three quarters of the rink are Leaf fans and it would make them look silly if they were laughed out of there own building. Leafs don't experience this, its the opposite every were they go. The Leafs would be way better off if there fans would stay home, leave the building half empty and take the David vs Goliath factor out of it all IMO.

Burn the officiating was a disgrace, several missed calls, but this was the Sabres playoffs and cup. More Leaf fans than Sabres fans in the crowd. They will miss the playoffs for the 9th straight year this season. They are a terrible franchise. They stink despite having picked in the top ten at the draft seven straight years including a first overall and two seconds. That said, Leafs played terrible. This is a garbage team the Leafs should crush.

Matthews has taken some big steps the last couple months. There are still some questionable moments on defense, and some bad giveaways, but it seems the effort and results are more consistent.

I think he is the bright spot of the Leafs season, even moreso than Nylander. With Matthews, I feel like he is still going to improve. The next couple years could be awesome!
