Second line is set and that’s the idea....a speedy winger who can score to play with McDavid....would be worth the possible cost in the end

Laferriere will hopefully be a Wing because if not then I would think that would be a massive disappointment.....I figured you guys have earned it at this point

I'm hoping for Lafreniere but am expecting to draft 4th. It'll still be a huge Let down if they don't win the draft lottery.

Trade for Taylor Hall at the deadline....the lotto gods will have no choice but to give you the 1st pick in the draft

Jack Eichel owns the Leafs. The Leafs also are really soft, and like their fans, constantly complain about officiating. It’s such a weak look.

And you're so hard up for attention you had to hop into a leafs thread to announce as much.

Talk about your weak looks...

Not wanting to trade Larsson since he is looking like 2016 playoff Larsson right now but it would be a good add for the Leafs

Exciting to keep watching Dubas mortgage the future this year with a team that has no business being in the conversation. Lets see how many futures/picks are gone from june 2019 to june 2020.

After so long where the club didn't really develop anyone I have faith they can produce players. Trading away any more futures this season is a mistake. They tried. They see what results are. Cut bait and do whats right for next season.

I mean honestly. This is St. Louis from last year?

Truth is. If they don't trade away futures they could still save face and make the playoffs. But either way, they've already gotten rid of enough picks and prospects. If the move is for a long term player or guy under contract, doing that at the deadline costs way to much as we once again are seeing.

I imagine he won’t come cheap but I would sure like to see what he could do on McDavids wing....I’m pretty sure Yzerman has a plan....maybe he just cleans house this offseason
- RatedR80

Looks like Yzerman’s plan is Lafrenière

What in the hell?

How have they not developed players? How many Marlies have played for the leafs this year?

That's not what he said..he was saying since the organization can develop players now it's silly to trade away picks and prospects.

You cant develop everyone and I think they've done a good job with trading away what they have.

People sometimes get too high on picks especially.

Lol ok it too early. Reread it.

But that still make no sense. If they are able to develop players that gives them more ammunition to make trades for needs. Saying they can develop players now, when they previously couldn’t , and thus shouldn’t trade futures is ass backwards.
