that would be a huge mistake......not trading Pageau will end up being nothing but 100% failure on Dorion's part to take advantage of an asset.

par for the coruse it seems though, he often trades guys he should keep and keeps guys he should trade.

in the past there was always Melnyk to blame.......owner wasn't willing to spend money...........but holding on to Pageau, when you could get a great return for him during a career year, will be ALL ON DORION

I agree.

Devils have now moved inside the Sens on the draft positioning with 3 first round picks this June. Ottawa is slotted at 3 and 6 this morning. Devils are 4, 11 and around 22nd having added the Vancouver pick (via Tampa). If Ottawa adds another first, Sens and Devils will combine to have a very strong controlling position on draft day.

personally, I'd much rather trade pageau and keep Tierney (only if he signs a short term deal)

that being said, why not trade both.

next year your centers can be Brown, Norris, White, and maybe sign a FA or 2, or insert a high draft pick from this year if one is a center

Rossi is good, but i'm not convinced he's an NHLer right away.

for the sake of development, would love to see the following centers next year

Brown
White
Norris
Chlapik

I know it will never happen, but it would be nice to see

You are right, we don't know.

I am hopeful. Rossi is 5'9" and 187 lbs. He is a fireplug and reportedly very strong on his skates, hard to move off the puck.

Norris is a pure snipper at AHL level. After the game you have to check the game sheet to see if he played. Not a very good center & he doesn't bring what Smith demands from his centers away from the puck. The kid has an awesome release & gets himself in shooting position. Could be a high scoring W at NHL level. I would keep Tierney.

fair enough......I haven't seen a single Belleville game as I live in Halifax so I haven't seen him play, but everything I've read says he's as close to a lock as a top six center as we have in this organization.
