If I continue to throw in my Benning jabs and prop up my buddy Hextall, and his former Flyers club, it’ll continue to rub people the wrong way and promote debate
Flyers have a great shot at a 100+ point year and they might not make the playoffs. - Pacificgem
Hextal was a poop GM, poop goalie on a poopshow of a poopty overrated team, if it wasn’t for Vingeault they would be tied with Jersey in the standings, a great coach that has them overachieving. |

Trap game like the Wild, or total domination like the Preds? I'm thinking Marky goes on a 6 game shutout streak, quieting all his critics. 7-0 Nucks, Hughes with 8 points. |

Are you saying with a great coach the Canucks would be unstoppable? |

Hexy was a mediocre GM, he pooched a lot things, fortunately for the Flyers and their scouting staff drafting wasn’t one of them, he did ok in that department. A lot of the current young group of players was a result of his five years as GM.
Apparently he was a nightmare to work for though, if he ever wants a shot again he’s gonna have to change his ways. The league is a small tight group, I’m sure he’ll get another crack at it someday, if he wants to? |

I’m impressed with Flyers home record. I thought the Canucks are dominant at home but Philly’s better. Surprising. |

They’ve still got some good, not great, veteran players in Couturier, Giroux, Voracek, Provorov, Hayes, Konecny, etc....very much a lunch bucket group with three very experienced veteran coaches. |

But of course, Canucks are winning in spite of Green, pure talent on the Canucks, Flyers not so much. |

that’s the beauty of an open forum for guys with nothing better to do than argue about things they have absolutely zero experience or control over.
Benning is truly a moron though, any other owner besides the Aquilini family and he’d have been fired long ago lol.

Any other team that wasn’t a poopshow left behind that he had to gut and start over, he would have a second Stanley Cup to his resume |

Cry me a river, not many GM’s take over a championship caliber team, their predecessors were fired for a reason. He was in a great position to rebuild, tons of cap space, a high end NHL player who wanted out and was worth a first round pick, but he either wasn’t allowed to or he chose not to....either way he’s an idiot |
