My .02, i like it.
I raised my eyebrows when i first saw the announcement and expected more outrage here today tho.

I thought the Canucks would not make playoffs this year, predicting they'd slump in the 2nd half of the season.
I think JB saw this coming too and made this move to add some juice while waiting for Boeser and Leivo to heal up.

Cautiously optimistic on our chances at this point.

I like this squad, but feel bad for nighthawk.
The lineup is set!

Getting Boeser and Leivo back for the playoffs is going to be big...

JTM Petey Boeser
Pearson Bo Toffoli
Leivo Gaud JV
Rous Sutter/Beag Motte

That’s a pretty deep forward group. Wonder if JB is going to try to sell someone?

I look forward to seeing the lineup over the next few games.

Bo Pearson Toffoli
Elias Miller Jake
Gaudette Roussel Zacmac
Beagle Bailey Sutter

Surprisingly the reaction was half of what I expected. You had your old faithfuls that you knew would put up resistance.

I like that Canucks have turned some prospects into currency . This is a pretty young core and thinking most prospects will replace players that currently hold spots is a little crazy.

I think the timing is right. I don't think they are cup winners but I think they are ready to win a round or two.

I think Bo's line and the PP just got better.

4 years from now, when the Ontario Reign win the Calder Cup, and Madden wins MVP, we will hear about the 1 that got away.

Looking forward to Wednesday's game now. If all goes well, Bo's line will be legit second line with size.

JTM, Bo, Petey, Brock, JV, Gaudette are a solid core for the forwards. Add two high-end players like Hog and Pod in the next two years, and it turns into an impressive group.

What's done is done with the trade, looking forward to seeing what TT will bring

Madden was a great 3rd round pick, but I didnt see him as big of a prospect as others. His PPG in his draft +1 and +2 were lower than gaudette's. Gaudette is a fringe 3C right now. Its essentially the 2nd rounder for toffoli imo. Would have loved if baertschi was the forward going the other way instead of schaller

I loved the hype he got . We turned it into a top 6 player. I hope some of our other prospects do the same.

People make way too much out of prospects. Rathbone might be next to go then the sh1t will hit the fan.

Haven't you been going on about how important growing and developing players in Utica is? Are they not prospects?

Madden doesn't have the same run support that Gaudette had so I don't think the points comparison makes as much sense. Madden is the play driver, gaudette was the finisher.

Madden is a very good prospect, that said Toffoli is a very good NHLer.

Do you think that I think every one of them will be stars on the Canucks? I am also pretty sure Canucks will have another draft pick in the years to come.

Way to blow things out of proportion as usual

TYler Madden trade just took us from #1 to #31

there’s a few pictures like that. One with TT being piggybacked by Pearson. It seems to be a running gag.

There’s a great story of Pearson slashing Toffoli in the face when they played against each other in junior. I guess they battled a lot before becoming team mates.

I’m not blowing anything out of proportion. I don’t give two poops about Madden. I never thought he was going to be a solid NHL’er. Personally, I don’t think the prospect pool is as good or as deep as you do, but I seem to value having them more than you do. Funny how that works.

If they trade Stetcher they can get that 2nd back, no problem.

Just in case.

Maybe because I see only four or at the most of them ever making the Canucks.

I think the reason I think it is so good is because I see 4 spots available over the next 5 years and 5 players today ready to step in.

I never for one minute thought Madden would be a Canucks and you can put Rathbone on that list too regardless of they hype.

Decent trade

On the plus side for most the Canucks will either make the playoffs or fire JB

It’s a win win for most in here
