I don’t want my team to win the division because everyone around us is poop. If Canucks deserves it they will keep pace now that they are in the driver’s seat.

I’ll agree with your assertion that not everything needs a fine or suspension, but I’ll disagree about Karlsson on Motte, to me he clearly hits Motte in a vulnerable position and should have let up and wrapped him up instead of nailing him the way he did.

Yes Roussel deserved the penalty and fine, did you see why he retaliated the way he did, even though it is wrong on Roussel to retaliate, he did so because of inconsistent and incompetence from the on ice referee’s to call the original infraction.

You can defend the DoPS and refereeing until the cows come home, I stand by my opinion that the league refereeing and supplemental punishment is inconsistent and needs major overhaul.

Strange because I was doing the opposite of defending the refs. I think if the refs did a better job, DoPs would have an easier job.

Some have already made an assumption that a third party would automatically be better.

I also see that Chara has been fined for his cross check to Gallagher. Same as Roussel got a fine for his flash/cross check/ punch

Their defensive group is ok but their offensive group isn't much beyond Draisaitl and McDavid, so yeah, they play pretty solid team game considering their goaltending is mediocre at best.

Oilers keep winning, Draisaitl is a beast, league MVP? Yamamoto lights out since being called up.

That’s unfortunate, I think he’ll turn pro when his college season is over. A couple years of seasoning and he could be a great pick for Brackett and our US college scouts

With Madden out that could end their college season early. Question is does JB sign him before end of Canucks regular season is up, for depth that burns an ELC year, or is he an AHL signing for Comets playoff run?

So far JB has signed his collage guys early blowing the first year but that prevents offer sheets. His strategy seems to be working. But Madden still has 2 more years to go, so I would say not.

Plus Hughes and Brock had legit shots at making the lineup during their 1st season, even for a couple games. Same for the next full season.
Not going to happen for Madden.
