Just read that..:

Everyone says JB won't pull slick moves but this sure smells like Bring Brock back in the playoffs and use his LTIR with Schaller's departure enought for Toffoli and Dillon.

Maybe Ferland retires and we just use that money, plus a buyout/trade, to sign him...
- NewYorkNuck

Could be. I'm not going to worry until I have to. It would be nice to recoup a 1st for next draft.

So does that resolve fitting him under the cap?

Thought Nucker might be in here, he stated last year, that if Toffolu ever became available, the Canucks should get him.

Depends who is looking after the cap . Canuck fans or Chris Gear?

That's not good, he pumped Schaller's tires.

It's a big play by JB getting Toffoli now instead of standing pat to try as a UFA signing in summer. He timed it with the knowledge of missing BB for weeks.

If Ferland doesn't retire they will want to keep him on LTIR through next season. This will allow JB to use his cap relief in resigning Toffoli especially if things work out.

Waiving LE for mutual termination (non-reporting) is another move that could happen since LE would be owed less money then he could get signing somewhere else.

My my, go ice fishing for the day and tune back in to the internet world and JB trades to add toffoli, I like madden but you have to give something and Schaller was a good dump, 2nd round pick gone now, I have a feeling Jb isn't done yet, thank God it wasn't pod or hogs.

That's my feeling on this as well. Got to give to get. Our top 6 is solid when Boeser gets back. And I don't have to female dog about Schaller any more. Just need to book Loui's rocket trip into the Sun and we are set.

Toffoli is only 27, I thought he was closer to 30, they better be able to sign him and I think they will get it done otherwise Jb wouldn't have done it.

I like the top now and when we move Jake down to bottom that will start looking better also.
