Thornton is not a threat to shoot the puck.. Ever, like, he won't shoot the puck unless the net is empty.. Rielly, as good as he is, his soft wrist shots from the point are predictable and low percentage.

I don't see how Joe Thornton will be of any value to the Leafs PP or at 5v5.

Additional plus for you of adding him, would be that Matthews would get an additional minute of iceteam each game - since Thornton would play 2-5mins on this Leafs team.

I'm not going to take the time to look it up, but im pretty sure Willie has more assists than Thornton. So we're going to remove his 25 goals from the powerplay, add a guy with less assists... And the powerplay will be better because...

it would be great "optically" if Dubas were to offer Spezza a contract for next year now... that would send a great message to both Spezza and the team broadly.

Look at this guy, minimum contract, contributes every night.

Marner is a pass first guy.. Take him off of PP1, and watch it succeed with Thornton.

Saw them a few summers ago in Regina. 100.00 each for a rebuy nosebleed ticket, spent the entire concert walking around to better spots.

They were on stage for over 3 hours, well worth it if you can get a ticket on the cheap. Axl even had his poop surprisingly together...
