Even if he only plays 8-10mins a night, with half of that on the PP - he could make the difference between a win and a loss in a playoffs series.

The guy has a 2mln caphit - which Leafs can easily add.
Thornton would be a great add for Leafs for the playoffs - I don't think there is anyone better available to give Leafs the additional +.

Additional plus for you of adding him, would be that Matthews would get an additional minute of iceteam each game - since Thornton would play 12-15mins on this Leafs team.

Thornton is not a threat to shoot the puck.. Ever, like, he won't shoot the puck unless the net is empty.. Rielly, as good as he is, his soft wrist shots from the point are predictable and low percentage.

I don't see how Joe Thornton will be of any value to the Leafs PP or at 5v5.

I don't even want to think of what TOI Babcock would give Thornton. LOL
