Points wise the trade favours the leafs and we filled two positions of need.
Kadri is playing 2nd line mins, which he wouldnt see here.
Good trade imo.

comparing kadri vs kerfoot & barrie (productionwise) is a bit off - that is all i was saying.

We're on a hockey site, so we can move on. If I was to actually be more accurate in my example, it's actually the 200 strikeout / 35 homerun guy. There's a train of thought that says that striking out really doesn't matter. But somewhere underlying in that entire notion is this idea that says, "Not being good at batting is okay as long as you can crush the ball 5% of the time." -- because runs win games.

That thinking is prevalent in hockey based on your role as well. Tyson Barrie is not good at defense, but he is good at creating offense, despite the fact that he's a defenseman. So he's not good at his job, but he is good to have, because goals win games, and he is a net positive.

Its the only fair comparison to cleary look at Forsberg vs. Wendel Clark when talking about the Barrie/Kerfoot for Kadri trade. Since Forsberg was better, Avs win the Kadri trade.

We got Sundin for Clark, so it's a must for him to be included in the Kadri deal as well.

It gets more complicated though, because once we traded back for Wendel, we had to give up Kenny Johnsson and a 1st rd pick which turned out to be Roberto Luongo..
