Rumor in a Hockey News article that the Jets and Avs may be discussing a Connor for Byram trade with additional minor assets to round things out.

Not sure the viability but could the Hawks put forth a similar proposal for Byram? Would think DeBrincat would be that piece as he’s closest to Connor in production and age.

Or trade package for Connor? Beaudin or Mitchell as a starting point?

Don’t know how I feel about either scenario. Highly moot point anyway. I’d rather stay the course with DeBrincat, Beaudin, and Mitchell.

yep...but not until the end of the season...i don' think they are moving either goalie at TDL...

You can add by subtracting in the CBH case. We have the cap room to help other teams with expiring contracts to open cap space for them and in return we can add players we need. Example, Bogosian in Buffalo would help our defense and get us a pick or player.

Also we need to dump our expiring contracts like Gus and Crawford.

I’m not add ing Lehner because he is our future.

Why would add extra assets to get rid of Bogosian? He is an UFA after this season. The Sabres are going nowhere. When was the last time you watched Bogosian play?

How did it work out for the NYI by letting Lehner go?

They don't need a goalie. Why would the Hawks give up an asset like Saad for Byram when they could have drafted him if they liked him that much?

I'm border line on trading Saad only because he probably brings back a nice asset and the Hawks may not be able to afford his $6M. Definitely agree on not trading Cat.

And we need more two way forwards, not less. In my opinion Kubalik is on his way to being a good 200’ player as well, but again we need more of these type of players.

just replying to previous message just spitballing I would also think Grubauer would have come back instead of naut. I think saad does get shop and only traded if the right return comes back.

If Lehner is expecting something like 7 years at 8 mil AAV...then its time to trade him. When do those types of goalie contracts work out well ? There are plenty of other goalies out there, including Crawford. How about a trade for a Rangers goalie ? And I also dont have a clue why people are fascinated about acquiring Bowen Byram. Personally, I am happy with Boqvist. And Mitchell and Beaudin are waiting in the wings. PLUS Chad Krys and Dennis Gilbert and Alex Vlasic. We need more top 9 forwards, not defensemen.

My preference would be to keep Lehner at a decent price. However, if he can't be kept then I hope Stan has a better plan than Crawford and Delia for next season.
