It’s hard to fault the team for the slow start due to playing the night before and the tough schedule. What I find odd is AV switching things up after two impressive wins with the same line up. Some were down on Laughton’s play in the first half of the game. Well the poor kid was playing wing one night and center the next. The poor kid has had lights out chemistry with Jevin Hayes and suddenly removed from his line. The unneeded switch up could be faulted for some players as well.

To fit Farabee I suppose. Frost struggled a little against the Panthers on Monday if I remember correctly. Farabee was so good before getting sick so I understand wanting him back.

Atkinson out 2-3 weeks

Hextall had moves he could do without jeopardizing the team, Fletcher doesnt. If we add someone we gotta subtract someone. Who are you moving out of the lineup to make room for an addition plus have cap space? This isnt the same as Hextal not grabbing guys because he expects AHL players to make the jump. They young players here are on the rosters. They need time to develop. Pushing them out of the lineup is counter productive.

The first period obviously killed the team last night as much as the final goal did.

You can't fall down 3-0 , burn all that energy trying to come back on the end of a B2B and expect it to go smooth.

No doubt it was encouraging that the Flyers dominated for large stretches of the game , that they battled back , you could find a lot of positives in the game but they are all outweighed by the fact they lost to a team they care chasing.

Still, one game.. Just like the Caps win was one game or the Devils loss was one game. Move on from it and get ready for Thursday night.

So after 9 years working for a large corporation, I just became aware of what "working capital" is after 3 of my vendors told me that my company is on temporary credit hold.

There should be a just one game column in the NHL standings. If they miss the playoffs by a point or two, hey it's just one game. At some point they're going to run out of just one game excuses and learn that they have to play every game as if it matters if they want to make the playoffs.

Who are the team leaders and responsible for making sure the team is ready to play at the start of games?

Sorry but professional athletes shouldn't need someone "making sure they're ready to play" every game. It's about doing your job to the best of your ability every day. Intrinsic motivation! I guess some players have more of it than others do. It's as simple as that!
