I think Habs didn't want to give too much info about Weber before the weekend, to not discourage the team for their games in BOS and PIT.
now that all the crazy rumors are flying left and right, they don't have a choice no more and come out with that 6 weeks absence.
always trying to control the information, they never learn.
otherwise, how can you explain taking 8 days to come out with the verdict? normally it' takes 2-3 days.

He would be over paid ... the guy is not fast enough and is not an intelligent player on which you can depend.

What used to work for him in the juniors is not enough against NHL caliber defensemen.
