Off the top of my head I cant really think of what teams have a Dman available.

Dumba would be a good one but I dont know if they would want Hoffman and Im sure FLA would need to include more for Minny to be interested, could always flip him for more assets.

Isles might be willing to move a Dman.

Maybe Vatanen but again would require some assets they want and would have to flip hoffman

Yes but you dont need a 3rd pair Dman at 3.8 mill and Ghost is a 4.5 7th Dman right now in terms of play. Im sure we can get a back up goalie at half the price of Elliott and NAK could take Pitlick's spot on the roster next season.

Before his injury, Gostisbehere was not a 7th defenseman. Getting injured doesn't make him a 7th defenseman. The coach was happy with his play before the injury.

Braun is not a 3rd pair defenseman for this team. They also have Niskanen who only has one more year after this. Hart is still young so you need a veteran backup.

Cap costs are cumulative. Can't just blindly look at one year at a time. Sanheim is going to need a new deal soon. What if Hart becomes the goaltender everyone thinks he is going to be? Young players progress and need new deals. Keep signing big ticket older players to large deals and something has to give. Would Hoffman get a NMC? Did you consider that? I think there is a lot you haven't considered.

Someone defensively sound that can chip in a bit offensively. Ghost is not defensively sound. Ghost is not the Dman that is going to help the team's GAA go down. Bob is getting lit up way too much. Part of it is on him but you saw the game last night. They could use an upgrade on D.

Gostisbehere at his best is fine defensively. Watching Florida's style of play, he is definitely a fit with that team. You don't win in today's NHL by defending. You win by attacking.

Hagg has been better than Ghost all year and that isnt a compliment to Hagg. AV can say he is happy with him until he is blue in the face, Ghost hasnt been good at all.

Braun is a 3rd pair Dman. Sanheim and Myers are the 2nd pairing they are going to continue being a big part of the team. Braun can come back at a lower cap hit otherwise I am fine to move on.

Niskanen will be gone in 2 years. You have to take that 1 year at a time, maybe you extend him, maybe someone is ready to move up the line up.

Friedman will be joining the 3rd pair soon which gives the Flyers options.

The Seattle Draft is next offseason. It shouldnt be any surprise Ghost went from a must protect to we are OK exposing him.

Vet G is fine perhaps the time of a 1 million dollar backup is gone.
