With all these injuries some trade action has to pick up

It was really interesting watching Luke Schenn last night. He's turned himself into the most basic defenseman possible who can survive in the league: as soon as he gets the puck, if he is under pressure, it's off the glass and out, or around the back of the net on a reversal. If he isn't under pressure, he takes no more than two strides, maybe three, before it's off his stick and to his partner or a forward

He did the same thing over and over and over

I give him credit. He figured out how to survive

Very Similar to Jason Smith when he was here. Rim it around the boards and out!

He's too fast for this team. It just wouldn't work

Hagg's doing OK this year. Not a lot of goals being scored against when he's on the ice. Slight uptick in raw possession and possession quality. Really can't complain.

Even Pitt and Carolina we've done pretty well against. TBH, I've been happy with the team's play of late. If you compare to last year, goaltending, D and PK are MUCH improved, and that bodes well for playoff hockey. My worry is the PP. I don't think it's good enough currently to enable us to go far. Having said that, I find they moved it around well last night but couldn't finish. Hope that's a sign of progress.

I think he would look great on the 3rd line and give the flyers the one element they so severely lack: speed

Kadri actually just got hurt. I saw he's going to be out for at least a few weeks. Apparent leg injury.
- Ftown19125

Well it doesn’t matter now. The trade never happened and Kadri and Ghost are both hurt

If NP can't come back, then you'd maybe look at some bottom-six C options. But then again, I'd feel pretty good about just letting Frost and Bunny run with it.
- Tomahawk

I’m not feeling that great about Frost. I’ve been underwhelmed by him. Bunnaman has been the best fourth line call up all season in my opinion.

I’m not sure we can rely on Patrick’s health whether he’s here or not. I would consider a fourth line center regardless.

I think someone found away to take the pressure of expectations off of him. I haven’t seen Luke Schenn play in awhile but he was above average prior to his first season as Flyer and his entire career as a leaf.

Well Frost shouldn't be on the 4th line, he's gotta be a top-6 center (or winger) because he needs to be creating offense (hate that term, but whatever) to be effective. Bunny, on the other hand, is better suited for the 4th line right now. But yeah, a minor move to upgrade the bottom-6 center spots would be nice.

I guess he’s out with a leg injury. I don’t know for a fact, just what I was told.

How you feel about Frost is how I feel about Patrick.

Am I the only one noticing how much we aren’t missing Ghost right now? I don’t want to make light of his injury but Provorov, Sanheim, Niskanen and Myers have a better balanced games.

I would take Boston over Tampa though.
- Peter Richards

I'm gonna disagree there. Tampa's a buzzsaw right now (+50 goal differential) but they haven't done jack in the playoffs yet. A good defense and transition can contain them (easier said than done). Boston's just a fast, big team that knows how to get poop done and they just keep coming in waves.

The Flyers made it to Game 6 of the 2000 ECF without superstar Eric Lindros since he was injured for the entire playoffs. That doesn't mean they weren't missing him, though.

I'm not saying Ghost is as impactful as Lindros, simply that it's not always as simple as A=B.

And I would agree that Patrick needs to be in a top-9 role if/when he returns.

Especially if the Rask from last years playoffs shows up.
