Regardless of the steel cage match on the last thread I still see one loss as one loss no matter how abysmal it was.
Hopefully they come out tonight and go much harder.
One game isnt a pattern while two games can be the start of something bad. - opeth_pa
Here is the thing. I think we all know that game was “abysmal” as you put it. Everyone reacts to that differently which is absolutely fine. In this instance, it was one game so as much as we can all have opinions on what that loss means going forward and are welcome to voice them. People should keep in mind that someone like me for instance who chose to move on immediately instead of voicing thoughts on the loss, doesn’t mean I don’t have thoughts or are unaware of potential outcomes.

I’m curious as to what my view is? I was furious about the loss the other night. I wouldn’t dismiss it as just another loss though because it’s been a regular occurrence, the flyers losing to lesser teams in the standings. They have some tough games coming up, it would have been nice for them to win that one. They always seem to find a way to make things harder on themselves. That’s frustrating to me. - Ftown19125
Literally just said I confuse you with another person who posts here. I just know 100% that you’re very difficult and you really don’t have to be. |

Glad they called frost up again for another look. This team is funny in that they play up and down to competition. Had Detroit come with a better effort/could finish at all, that game could have gone the other way. No excuse for the nj game but rebound with a solid game tonight. It’s a must.
For the love of god can we get I’m the pp sorted out? We’re not going anywhere without it.

Metro and the East are incredibly tight. If we miss playoffs by 4 points or less we can look back at MTL and NJD losses. Until then, we need to focus. Incredibly tough slate of games. Hopefully some teams ahead of us start playing poorly. |

Yeah this is where most of my frustration is coming from. At this point in the season, and the way the standings look, specifically the metro, these are games they can’t afford to lose in my opinion. I’d rather not have to rely on other teams going on a losing streak to get into the playoffs. |

Agree, the PP has been the most frustrating thing for me this year by far. I really think it hasn’t been the same since they lost their power shooter in the high slot. Schenn and before him Hartnell. They just haven’t been able to replace that position for years now. A slow steady downward spiral. Bring back Joe Mullen. |

Again, that post is less directed to you and SSb than to people like courd or the clown who post the same negative shtick no matter what happens
Totally valid to have concerns after a bad loss. But to beat down people who have different thresholds for worry (such as a few losses in a row) because they arent so concerned about one loss is also not cool. The negative posters complain we attack them for being negative, without seeing that they do the exact same thing they complain about too. - bulet13

Posted this in the last thread by accident. apparently Manning and Imama fought.

It’s a crappy situation because Manning was always said to be a nice guy. Bill over the years has even commented on his nice personality and how nice he was with the media. You wouldn’t expect him to use a slur. But it seems he handled the situation by apologizing to Imama post game. Even more credit for Manning to accept the fight; he didn’t have to.

Yeah I don’t know if I want to give him any credit. Just a poopty situation. I don’t think he got suspended for long enough though. |

Put Frost with Giroux and Voracek and you can call the line Frosty and the Gingerbread men |

Well, I sit here waiting for the game. I realize I have ZERO idea what to expect. I actually watched that entire debacle Thursday. I'm hoping the good Flyers show up. The ones that skate and fore check and back check and score.....the good Moose. The one that doesn't give up goals on the first shot of the game, second period and first 2 of the third. The one with 2 shutout in the last 5. Inconsistent is what we get.
We talk about the core. What core? G has been here the longest. Coots and Jake came together. Coots has been great. After that you have Laughton and Ghost. Raffl has been here but he is third line at best, not "core". JVR just got here last year and is a pigeon.
Other than the first 3 everyone else is either new or young or both new and young. A lot of rookies, second and even third year players in the line up this year. We lost Oskar for AT LEAST the rest of the season. Haven't had Nopa for the year and never got a chance to see Morin before he was lost....again.
It is so hard to get a handle on them from game to game. I do know they have played more good games than bad. They are better than last year. They are more fun to watch. Ghost is just coming back, to what ever use. Hart may play Monday.
Best of All..... NOPA SKATED THREE DAYS IN A ROW WITH THE TEAM!!!!
I LEAVE THIS DREAM FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION.
Feel free to move the pieces and lines around. Just looking for the best guys on the ice.
G, Coots, Jake
JVR, Frost, TK
LAUGHTON, Hayes, Farabee
Raffl, PATRICK, Pitlick
NAK
PROVY, NISKY
SANHIEM, MEYER
GHOST, Braun
Hagg
Hart
Moose
Not a bad group if they can slot correctly. Add Oskar next year and it gets better.

Where are you in NC?
Spent a few years in Cary. 15 minutes to to arena. Once spent $15 game day for Flyers tickets. That was for both seats. |
