Before sounding the alarm let's wait for the ship to sink. It was one game. I can see them lose on the road tomorrow to the best team in the league and still not panic. They are a team on the way up. Gonna go through the good and bad. Having Farabee and Frost get the experience, and hopefully a healthy Patrick really bodes well for the future. It's obvious that we have a very passionate fan base. We are all tired of the last decade. Hang in there, better days are coming.

I know nothing.
And he should have been recalled prior to yesterday's game. I said it makes zero sense playing Andreoff.

Roster move: We have recalled forward @_morganfrost_10
from the @LVPhantoms
(AHL). Forward Andy Andreoff has been loaned to Lehigh Valley.

I don’t agree with everything you say but I definitely don’t get frustrated by you like most. In fact, it’s ridiculous when people go off on you. Your comments are harmless and your not as odd as some would like to believe.

Yeah, we lost one game against a bad division rival, while our other two rivals won and hold the last two wild card spots. Our PP isn’t clicking. Our stars aren’t showing up. It only takes one loss to keep a team out of the playoffs. If we don’t make the playoffs and you feel the same way in April, we can definitely revisit this conversation.

Yeah.. We are the only team to ever lose a game this season against a bad division rival better sell the team while we still have a chance

It obviously wasn't the deciding factor last night, and with how every facet of the Flyers game was off, it didn't make any difference in the outcome at all...

... but does anyone else think this season, as seen last night, the league's officiating is grossly inconsistent?

It doesn't seem like it's coming from a place of bias, just that linesmen are regularly missing calls on one end and then penalizing an identical play down the other end.

They won over 60% of face-offs

Did you see a team that made an effort last night? I'm as positive as anyone about the team but anyone who isn't concerned about that performance last night has blinders on.

They scored 5 goals on those 19 shots. How many goals did the Flyers score with all the shots they took? Says it all.

No, what the Flyers did last night is what really bad teams who don't give a dam do.

I disagree to an extent. Of course no team will have their A game every and even the best of teams will have bad games. That wasn't what last night was. Last night was a team that didn't show up ready to play from the opening puck drop. Young players such as Myers who certainly aren't established as a regular NHL player not ready to play. Making it worse, none of the teams veterans or leaders stepped up to lead on the ice and set an example that it wasn't okay. They were just as bad. To the point where one of the worst teams in the league had several ( more than two) grade A scoring chances against the Flyers while they were on the PP! Last night was far more than just an off night or a bad game. It was a level of play that is unacceptable. It was so much more than just an off night in a trap game. It was a disturbing level of ineptitude.

The Detroit game was an off night in a trap game but they still found a way to win.

- MJL

I’m glad someone else finally compared last night to Detroit. Two nights in a row. Different results but the same issues by the Flyers.

Interesting how one person gets it another person is absolutely clueless. Richie, if you don’t get it by now, you never will.

I don’t subscribe to letting a team off the hook when they’re built to win. I love this team. So when they’re on the bubble each year no matter what type of money they hand out to skilled players who aren’t delivering, is a problem for me.

The Blue Jackets are ahead of us in the standings. Jackets weren’t expected to be where they are this season after losing Bob, Duchene and Panarin. Do the Jackets have a Claude Giroux, Jake Voracek, James van Riemsdyk, Sean Couturier or Travis Konecny? Take your logic and really Rationalize this or die on this hill as if everything awesome!

I mean Jackets do have skilled players. Ye maybe no one that has name value but they are being carried by their rookie goalie, they have Atkinson, PLD, Werenski Jones and Bjorkstrand. The name battle also works the other way. Do the Flyers have anyone like McDavid or Drasaitl? No but they still win more games then the Oilers. Who do the islanders have? People focus too much on the names on the back.

McDavid and Drasaitl have nothing to do with the Flyers, Blue Jackets or this debate. Giroux is two seasons removed from a 102 point season. So when you ask if we have a Connor McDavid, the answer should be simple. We have Claude Giroux and he’s been a no show.

The fans criticizing the Flyers are offering reasons for their frustration. The fans saying “it’s just one loss” as our rivals also in the playoff race win, aren’t offering anything.

Yes but Konecny and Couturier are. Even if G and Jake aren’t “stars” anymore, they should be a much better supporting cast.
