In hockey you must score a goal
Which one cannot do if between me and the net there's no hole
Most goalies are quick
React the drop of a hat
But I don't need to be quick when I got so much fat

What do you do with your 1,500 pounds?
You play goalie!

You can try the wristshot, slapshot, there's no getting through
I told you ten times you cannot fake out blubber, dude
I won't get tired, 'cause I'll just lie on my side
So the other teams won't copy I'll be signed at the deadline

Because:

1) Frost has skated all of two shifts at wing this entire season. They want him at center.

2) They will just slide Raffl back up to the Couturier line and play Andreoff 6-8 minutes.

3) Andreoff has had a few good games for the Flyers -- some not-so-good ones, too -- in that spot.

Also, relative to his ice time, Aube-Kubel actually has been in the middle of a pretty decent amount of offense.

Honestly I would rather see Giroux go back to wing and Frost up at Center. or Kase/Rubstov up. but thats me.

Vigneault's comments have to be taken in the correct context here.

Correct context being he sounds pissed about being asked about Patrick all the time?

Thats how I took it.

9th ranked team barely in the playoffs

- 2Real

Tied for 8th most points in the league. 7 of the top 10 teams are from the East. its pretty certain better teams from the east will miss the playoffs than western teams who will make it.

Agreed. Some people (media, fans, not people here) are trying to work an angle that AV is playing doctor or putting an end to Patrick speculation. But the reality is as a coach you can’t think what if’s or rely on pieces that aren’t available to help your team win and do its job now.

Coyotes are in the same position as the Flyers: trying to turn the corner. Replacing Hall with a much less dangerous player and a 1st-rounder that won't come into play for another 2-3 seasons doesn't exactly fit the pattern of what they've been trying to do with Galchenyuk -> Kessel -> Hall.

If they weren't currently in PO position, then maybe you could believe that they'd try to recoup some value on Hall. But as it stands, swapping Hall for JvR basically pulls the plug on their season. (Not to mention really bones their payroll for the future).

What pattern?

Arizona drafted and than traded Max Domi for Alex Galchenyuk. Alex Galchenyuk was traded for Phil Kessel. They started with a 22 year old before the prime of his career and ended up with a 32 year old past his prime. Right away, no pattern that makes sense.

Now rumor has it Arizona is considering trading Hall at the deadline because he may not re-sign with them. I would agree that Arizona shouldn’t trade Hall as they chase the post season but the only way they pull the plug on their season is if they trade Hall and not replace Hall in some way. Trading Hall for nothing pulls the plug on their season.

I didn't sense that at all. Typical coaches perspective of only dealing with the players available to him

they are 9-5-3 against Boston, Washington, St Louis, Pitts, Tampa, Columbus, Isles, Dallas, Vancouver and Colorado. that is solid work. they've fared well against the better teams. If i have any complaints its coming out flat against the lesser teams.

The pattern is targeting guys that could help immediately to play with their up and coming talent. Whether those trades were successful or not is debatable, but the aim was pretty clear.

If they maintain their current slide into the TDL and they fall hopelessly behind, then maybe Hall gets moved. That remains to be seen, tho.

I’m speaking from a Scenario if Arizona wanted to move Hall. I still believe JvR is still a top six forward on any team in the league but would understand if there is no interest. I also understand if anyone on this team wouldn’t want to part with a first round pick. Speaking for myself, I would be willing to part with a first round pick if it means gaining a world class talent like Taylor Hall and unloading JvR in the process. After such a deal, I would also make it a priority to potentially unloading Jake Voracek on the offseason.

Notice how "this season" was inserted by Carchidi and not said by AV. Piss poor reporting from him as usual.

sixers acquiring bench players oh boy that's sure going help them
- 2Real

Sixers aren't going anywhere substantial until they do one of the following.

A. Trade Simmons
B. Build a new core around Simmons
C. Get Simmons to pull his head out of his entitled ass and learn how to play PG correctly (ie shoot the (frank)ing jumper)
