[quote=EugenesAxe]One of the dozens of die hard Islander fans on the planet is chirping. Isles are a good hardworking team. 18 months later and you are still not over the fact Tavares left.
Let the Isles fans hold their grudges. I have no problem with it. I still hold massive grudges towards Parise and Kovy, and somewhat on a lesser extent to Bill Guerin for his hold out and Scott Gomez for jumping ship to the Rags. |

Lol who knew the Isles had the softest fans in the NHL... |

Good trade.2 of 3 issues resolved. Added toughness and backup. Now jettison ceci and add a tough stay at home dman like manson and leafs r set to do damage in playoffs. |

Kovy ....end of career might never win a cup
Parise.....salary cap burden for the wild, might never win a cup, injury prone
Guerin......gave you guys good years probably the one that should hurt the most
Gomez....oufff , Rags gave him his retirement |

I don’t understand why Isles fans have such hate. They were doing nothing good to build a team around him. Blame the Isles, not Tavares. - Rinosaur
Just stop. You'd be doing it too if Sidney went to Philadelphia. And ironically, Leaves fans will be doing it when Auston heads off to Arizona in a handful of years.

Isn’t Babcock still available ? What a disappointing team they have up in Toronto. Looks like Mike wasn’t the biggest issue for the Leafs.
Reminds me of the mid-90’s Wings. All of the talent but too soft for the playoffs. For this years team, too soft to make the playoffs. - Manthamania
I think it's clear Babcock was easily the biggest issue. They are at a 110 point pace with Keefe despite all the injuries. |

It’s a mutually beneficial deal. LA gets assets towards a rebuild and TOR gets a goalie.
I honestly don’t think Campbell is much different than Hutchinson, but hey, time will tell. Clifford is a serviceable 4th liner.
I just don’t think this is deal that moves the needle much for either team, but LA has better chance of a long-term win on this deal if they luck out with any of those picks. - Rinosaur
Campbell has a career .916 % and last year had 928 in 31 starts. He is clearly better. |
