Appears to have been cleared for contact as well.

Honestly, this is kind of like a TDL acquisition. I assume he's going to start on the wing when he returns.
- jmatchett383

Still a ton of hurdles to clear. He's weeks away from returning at minimum. Is he going to be able to avoid migraines after contact? Sure hope so.

Of course, if he falters on a hurdle, he will have to get back up and start over. However, you never reach the finish without the start. It’s visible and something everyone can cheer for so this is good.

The question is, if he has a setback what is the next course of action? My fear would be he's shutdown.

Next positive step will be to see if he is sent down on a conditioning assignment to Lehigh Valley.

FDA recently approved Ubrogepant (Ubrelvy) for the immediate treatment of migraines as they occur. This is a first of its kind and is good for migraines with and without Aura. So, that should also help subside the impacts of any migraine if they do occur....but the main goal with his doctors will continue to be isolating his triggers and creating avoidance and control plans around those.

However preliminary, this is great news concerning Patrick. Now someone please tell me that Oskar Lindblom is going to be okay!

I was a fan of the Niskanen trade, as I thought Gudas had inflated numbers due to his deployment and usage. Niskanen has been fantastic.

Braun has impressed me. I'm still not a huge fan of the cost, but the team is much better off with him than without him.

All in all, I'm a fan of both deals.

It all counts. As the old saying goes:

I really think Fletcher had a great offseason:

Resigning Moose.
Trading for Hayes's rights + Signing him
Trading for Nisky and Braun
Trading for Pitlick.

The Simmonds trade ended up being Simmonds for Pitlick and a 3rd. Given how both players have played this year, that's damn good.

well worth it, flyers have a ton of drafted players ready to sign in the next 1-2 years so contracts will be hard to give out...trading a few 2nd or 3rd round picks for players that can step into the line up for the next 1-2 years was a wise move. look at all of the talent in the ncaa and europe in the pipeline unsigned still.
