The fact that history has shown that you can have as much success drafting in the 2nd round as a late 1st round.

That after the first 10 picks, you can pretty much follow the draft rankings and it's where the team picks. Not much science or skills involved.

This is why you thought my comment sucked?

- GannicusAD

Wheres your proof? Back that sh!t up... there should be overwhelming evidence that more "good players" come out of the 3rd round than late 1st....

Do you accept the premise that the players or gems drafted in the 3rd are available to pick in the late 1st? If so then that's the reason you were mocked...because your comment was silly...to be polite about it

St Louis' draft history is not great either actually.... most players were acquired through trades
- obie

even so... you need assets to be able to acquire players via trade. somewhere along the line they drafted those assets.

Their first line C was acquired for Sobotka, Berglund and Tage Thompson.... not exactly an assembly of who's who of good drafted assets

I mean it's not like any of them were drafted in the 3rd round or anything

again, not to defend Giantanus, but the theory would be that a bunch of good players left were overlooked by other teams when getting to the 2nd and 3rd rounds, which wasn't necessarily the case in the 1st round. Not sure what the "stats" are to confirm this theory though lol
