I don't trust anything about this management group. They'd do anything to save their own asses.

Why's that?

I don't know what if Primeau becomes really good and challenges Price? Can't let that happen.

Primeau will back up Price for 2 seasons starting next year and Price can go find a different net to tend after that

can't wait to see all the teams jumping on the opportunity to acquire a declining 10 million dollar 35-year-old goaltender.

I hope, I'm kinda sick off all the backup plugs they keep hiring who can't do the job when Price has his epic bad stretches

We'll have a Luongo/Schneider situation soon enough.

If history has taught us anything, we'll end up trading both away.

They might have to bite the bullet to rid themselves of his contract but so be it, he's the only contract they have that could hurt.... until they re-sign Petry and Tatar that is

It's similar but not as much as Luongo Schneider.

Bishop only had like 2 years left on his contract when Vezinasky showed up with Tampa.

2 more seasons, once Price hits 35, they can buy him out at a reasonable hit, just for a long period of time

Can't wait until my grandchildren call me at my CHSLD to tell me the Habs are off the hook for Price's buyout.

The way he's playing.... he might price himself out of Montreal.

Which would be too bad, (frank)ing love Tatar despite the penalties.

It will be 6 years at around 3 million per to buy him out after 2 more seasons, could you live with that?

yeah if another team is willing to give the guy a 6x7 at 31, so be it, but it better not be the habs lol... he seems to like it here, he could sign for a shorter-term, who knows

Only if we do have a better option in goal. Which might be the case with Primeau... we'll see.

As a worst case scenario, it doesn't sound THAT bad.

I think the masters of this game are the Islanders with Yashin and Dipietro

I really don't think he will Pat, why risk having to re-sign another contract at 33-34? Take the guaranteed money now.... lots can happen in 3 years where his value could come crashing down
