Julien shouldn't be there past this season anyway

CJ is a good coach... on a team built to win. On a rebuilding team, he is not the right coach - his player development approach is terrible, plus he has a GM who is pushing him to make the playoffs over putting kids in position to learn (and make mistakes) playing the roles they will (or should be) eventually playing the NHL.

Let CJ play Weal and Cousins and the Horse as much as he wants - just get the kids to Laval to play minutes in roles they should be playing, with proper development and coaching specifically for them.

Might as well call up McNiven and let Primeau play in Laval.

I think it's still better than playing for 3 different ECHL teams in the span of a few months

speaking of ECHL teams, there's some sort of project for a habs ECHL team in Trois-Rivières... it's off to a bad start though, since the business guy trying to push this said the habs organization was already involved, while the habs said there were no formal talks about it

Every decent prospect in the Habs organization is currently mandated to play roles in which they can't really learn or develop with limited ice time.

Primeau can sit on the bench and not learn.

Could be a nice addition to the team, guy is huge. He also has skills even though he's having an awful season.

Injuries

I like the guy but they would need to trade good young assets to acquire another 2nd-3rd line winger, kinda goes against organizational needs

Might have been Snot who suggested it

I'm not sure if hes back or not, the cost would be high anyway, cant cough up prospects and picks for another winger
