I agree, but does Molson not see that? Personally I'm getting sick of this mediocre poop that they seem ok with. Try your hardest to make the playoffs and then get beat in rd 1. miss the next 3 years and then repeat. |

They need to maximize return on assets they have now, return on those could go a long way in solving the D moving forward... they'll get a nice piece at this draft and probably next year too, hopefully added good picks in the same deals that will bring in D prospects... see where you are in 18 months and start entertaining returns on Weber and Chiarot to strengthen the system even further, by that time you've accumulated so many good young assets that you can package some up...
You keep Petry and Tatar and you need to bottom out for 3-4 years, I'll give you that

ok its fine to get good players. Domi, drouin, gallager etc are all good players. They are lacking the 2 or 3 great players to build your franchise around. Best chance of getting that is drafting in the top 3. |
