Murph was just saying Ferland still not ready

It's a shame. Real good player when he was healthy.

Just completely broken by the end in Raleigh though.

I think a lot of GMs are in that boat of missing on FA signings. The vast majority are over payments, with too long of contracts, unless you're getting a 1 or 2 year deal on a guy, they typically come back to hurt you.

Yup.

Jim has built a respectable team and hopefully it continues to get better.

Except with chronic concussions

He didn’t have chronic concussions though. He had one last year and then a back injury

Ferland — who is supposed to have conditioning stint with Comets — hasn’t joined team yet. Cull didn’t really have an update on when Ferland might join team.

Fair enough, I didn't even realize this was only his 3rd. He is an injury-prone guy though so you had to expect something could happen.

Yes and that was factored into his contract. Why it seemed so reasonable. Hopefully he retires and is off the books

It’s sad that boeser can’t get anything done without Elias

I mean he was only slightly below PPG pace for an entire season without him

Patrick Johnson and Ben Birnell seem to Ferland will be there Friday and this has more
to do with quality time of practice and games that it does with injury

He did but he isn’t that player anymore. Current boeser is slower than rookie boeser. My biggest concern is his shot. Lefty keeps referring to him as a sniper and he isn’t anymore. Remember boeser sniping 3 on Murray two years ago? I can’t envision him doing that a the moment. Presently he has an average shot on the team. Miller, Elias, virtanen all have far superior shots.

Why doesn’t the media ask if his wrist is (frank)ed up?

Honestly I've been wondering about his wrist all season. It doesn't look right to me, but there was an article a little while back I think on the Athletic about it.

Basically they pulled quotes from him saying he was adjusting his game to be more of a playmaker for Petey and JT, but they didn't ask him directly about it. They did ask Stecher and he said he didn't see a difference in Boeser's shot now as compared to as far back as when they played together in college

And Gaudette has been invisible without Jake. It's a good move.

Keep the lotto line intact.

Yup. Our “3C of the future” needs a fat speedy winger to succeed and our “supposed top winger” needs a super god Center to succeed. Sad times

There are a lot of transplants from other provinces/countries. They all bring their crazy. The real problem is that it’s so mild here nobody has winter tires, or experience, they drive too fast, follow too closely etc.

Interesting read this morning, so hopefully I can get this straight...Boeser has regressed into a 3rd wheel player but is on pace for about 70pts, an increase of about 14-15pts from last year, the reasoning is because he doesn't "snipe" his shot, but has become defensively aware and is looking to set up other players better....ok not sure I buy this logic but, whatever floats your boat I guess.

And is Gaudette now considered an untouchable 3rd line centre that can't benefit from having Virtanen on his wing...another head scratcher for me...I look at Gaudette as holding a spot until another better option comes along, he isn't really that great, marginally good is my assessment.

You don't see much of that here, but that was a logical assumption.

Not sure what your on about but no, I’m not a gaudette fan. If you think boeser looks like an improved player I question whether or not you are watching the games.
