Going to be a very interesting deadline Cpt especially if Bellows continues his good play. Pageau and Bellows on a 3rd line would be something. Pageau will have a lot of interest so it will be very tough.

If bellows and that line in general continue to play like they have(hoping but not sold yet)I’m steering away from Pageau if he’s going to cost a first or more and turning my attention towards Toffoli. I wouldn’t be adverse to Pageau don’t get me wrong but if we can add some top 6 depth and that 3rd line continues to play like it has the last two games we’re in a real good spot. Add a bottom pairing defender for good measure.

I agree Cpt. Too early to be sold on Bellows yet but so far so good. Isles need to be careful about giving up too much for Pageau. Toffoli would be fine and Toffoli can probably be used in the top 6 if needed. I would be more than happy with a couple of solid moves by Lou. Does not have to be a huge name.

It’s all dependent on how the third line continues to play. I don’t think adding Pageau would be a terrible move no matter how they play in all reality but think they could turn their attention to the top 6 with a little bit of more confidence if they play well up till the TDL. Adding any kind of scoring to this line up is of course paramount. Hopefully Bellow’s shooting prowess is contagious😂

I'd be interested in moving Bailey in a package for a top 6 signed forward but that's not happening. I see Bailey possibly moved in the offseason to free up space and even if it opens a spot for Wahlstrom. Think it will be tough for the Isles to pull off a top 6 type move at the deadline.

Kase + LaBlance should be the targets, rather add more scoring and leave Brassard at 3C

Bailey seems like an option to move in off-season, u kinda want to add to the team in a way for a PO run

To be fair Brassard has been pretty putrid as a 3C up till recently. I hope he continues to play well but I’m not sold yet. I don’t think it’s a bad move adding to the top 6 at all especially if the 3rd line maintains its play.

I’m not even thinking about Bailey right now we’re looking to add to what we have not one for one it. Toffoli isn’t unrealistic and by everything I’m seeing may be a fairly cheap option...

Toffoli should be a main target. I wonder if Isles add to the top 6, who gets dropped to the 3rd line?

could his play be putrid off the linemates he's played with? I also meant trading for those names to add to his line. I think Brassard has done well enough at FO's is why I suggested to acquire more scoring

I agree. Bailey would not be going now. Seeing Bellows now makes me want to see Wahlstrom. If Bellows and Wahlstom work out, that really helps the Cap and overall age of the team.

Yep! Would not mind seeing a Nelson Beau and Wahlstrom 2nd line at all.

Yeah sure that’s a possibility but there didn’t seem to be any urgency in his game for a long stretch no matter who he was playing with. He started off real good once he was moved to wing and when Trotz moved him back to C he kind of went flat. With all of that said I think we all have to be happy with what we’ve seen so far from him minus that cold stretch.

As far as not getting Pageau and keeping Brassard as 3C as I stated in an earlier post I’m leaning that way as long as that line keeps playing well. Though I don’t think there’s really a negative move if we’re legitimately adding a good player to our top 9. We need some talent...

Then you could move Bailey to the 3rd line while Bellows and Wahlstrom are on the cheap.

Rather have Bailey and his Cap room and lazy play off the team and especially if Bellows and MDC keep up the good play.

I’m not a huge Bailey(don’t hate the guy just think he’s not all that people say)fan but I don’t have much faith in MDC turning into much of anything. I really hope I’m wrong about that I was pretty excited to see what he could do this season and was hoping he could build off last but I’m not overly impressed minus the last few games. Hope it’s the start of a trend but I’m not holding my breath. Hopefully him, Bellows, and Brassard have some legit chemistry and continue to play the way they have the last couple of games. We shall see.

If he's available, I think Pageau's the best target, even if they have to pay a bit more than they want to. It makes them a more dangerous team overall. Brassard can go back to the wing where he's looked better and where he's had good chemistry with Nelson and Beau, and Bailey can slide to the third line, where he gives Pageau a top-six talent to play with even in a bottom-six role. Round that third line out with Bellows, if he continues to show he can play at this level, or take your pick from the zillion other forward options if Bellows flames out. I'd be cool with that lineup.
