I've done that and it's much better.. but driving through that area with my kids late at night is a bit scary.

Not sure what way you went, but leaving the rink and hopping on the Kosciuszko to get to the LIE to go home is pretty quick and easy.

Thanks for the blog Ben, Cpt read it twice.

I think if Bellows comes here and struggles or isn’t adjusting to the NHL game, Lou and Trotz have shown they will not keep throwing prospects out there to fail. As with Otto, Wahlstrom and Aho, if they come here and aren’t ready they won’t keep them here.

I hope JHS gets another shot to turn it around this year. He’s so talented.

he's done for the year ... there is a very Looooooooooooong shot he can work his way into being relevant next year, but I would not bet on it.

He's talking about adding a few guys with a few years left on their contract. I assumed you would not be ok wtih that move.
- niteislander

Grabner and Sanford were the only ones with term he mentioned and they're both pretty minimal. Sanford is also a good young player, that would be a nice get but I can't imagine shedding his $1.5M cap hit would really move the needle enough for the Blues to consider trading a young guy like that.

I'm more than happy to add players for beyond just this season, but something is going to have to give with the cap. Not saying I have that answer, but there will be very little cap space left once they re-sign Barzal/Pulock/Toews/another goaltender and also a few spare parts that could possibly be filled internally, even if the cap rises the maximum it is allowed to.

Looks like Aho may make his season debut tonight. Dobson only D man on for extra work.

Not really sure how I feel about that one. Starting to wonder if this might be them showcasing Bellows and/or Aho

I probably would too. I'm not so sure that I think ARI would trade him. He's not a big point producer but he's an important PK'er and teams have to respect his speed regardless of offensive output.

I don't think showcasing is an option when you need to field the best team to win here. Not a fan of Aho but I guess they like what they see from him and deserves his shot.

Where ever he winds up next, it won't be in an Isles Jersey. I have a feeling he's gone at the TDL.

It's an option if you want to try and tell other teams that Bellows and Aho are NHL players. Isles don't have much to deal and if they think they're going to add via trade then they need to drum up a little hype.

Yeah there is that potential. That’s exactly why I’m not going to the game.

BC is such a world class experience Cpt. Not to mention you can pee very easily and the food is so good. The scoreboard makes it so easy to see the game.

Looks like Kuhnhackl, Johnston and Aho are the scratches tonight. Staying on for extra work with Greiss.

Not buying it sorry. If they get 10 games under their belt you're getting how much more for them?
We need to win games to stay in the PO race. That means fielding your best team.
Just my opinion of course.

Well yeah, if they're not both playing in this game then I don't think that

Bellows will play and honestly, if he plays and starts scoring, he isn't going anywhere.

Don't disagree about that one bit.

I think this is sort of a half-assed "shit or get off the pot" moment for him. I don't think he needs to come in and light the world on fire by any means but we're four years post-draft for him and he's just getting into his first NHL action tonight. If he's going to be any sort of an impact player for us it'd be nice to see a little bit of something while he's got the chance.
