Pulling the goalie before your team even gets in the opposing team's zone is a great idea. It works every time. Claude is a great coach. |

Would make the Habs a real threat in 2 years as opposed to wildcard chasers |

The Habs almost managed to come back in this one but they came up just short, losing 4-3 to the Jackets on Super Bowl Sunday. - Karine Hains
how can you believe MB is ready to give up on next season when he still hasn't done it for this one a month away from the tdl?!? be serious, you're better than this.

To be honest, i think he has but he’s just not said it...
Think the Chiefs can pull it off? The 9ers have got heck of a defence...

why did he sign Kovalchuck then?!? and send the kids down while playing vets?!? and play Price back to back?!? all signs point to them not giving up imo.
yeah, I'm afraid the 9ers will win a close one |

Good defensive prospects, much like Durzi, who the Leafs gave up in the Muzzin deal.... |

Ya but they have to be drafted first and timmins can't do that well.
Also, crazy how durzi became an elite prospect the moment he was traded |

Not in my eyes, Durzi was always a solid prospect and a fair price to pay for a top 4 D... lots of good D come out of the 2nd round
Point is, those 3 deals, aiming more at already drafted and partially developed prospects as opposed to 1st round picks would benefit the team greatly 2 years down the road |

Durzi was good but expendable. Wouldn't have minded seeing what he'd become in TO.
For sure the prospect route is better. Doubt you get one for kovy though |

He was because of Sandin and Liljegren and that's what you look for in a trade partner, a team with a couple good ones, nobody is gonna give you their top prospect but #2 or #3 on their pipe line could be a nice upgrade in yours....
As for Kovalchuck.... maybe if you add Chicago's 3rd in 2021 you could get a guy like Calen Addison in Pittsburgh, or something similar... it's a long shot but Tatar and Petry get you 2 of those guys each + a pick |

season was dead and buried last July when MB sat on his hands. everyone here knew they needed a top LD, a top RW, and a backup goalie.
the only thing he did was hire a washed up goalie.
he only has himself to blame for this cluster(frank). |

How was he suppose to acquire a top LD and a top RW exactly?
And he acquired a top RW, Caufield... he'll hit his prime when Petry is 36 with 3 more years @ 7 million |
