Strip all hope away as soon as possible

This hope bullpoop has stuck around WAY too long already if you ask me. This team is what it is......not even close to being good enough now (and if they don't make some necessary moves this TDL, Draft and summer) or in the future.

No back up goalie so the Habs dragged Price back out and at least 2 sloppy goals cost them... Bergevin you suck! No centers for years, then no D, now no back up.... he’s terrible.
4-3 loss to jackets is death knell on season

OK boys and girls, just for fun ... if you take the player's age out of the question, who would you rather have?

Drouin or Tatar?

Not just age, contractual situation.... and because of both, Drouin right now.... but at the same age, signed to the same deal, Tatar

Domi can be a great 2nd/3rd line playmaking winger with grit that scores 20 goals.... he's overrated if you think he's a first line C.... I think he's part of the core going forward

How is Domi rated? I'm rarely on here and don't read montreal media. I assume everyone is smart enough to know that last year was a mirage and he is a 60ish point player with self-control issues.

If Domi is on your 3rd line, you're probably a cup favorite

Doesn't he complain about not playing at C? The CBS announcers were saying that on the stream I watched.

With a team cap hit over double the league max

You're insane if you think he's a 3rd liner on any team in the league.

If that's the case he can go play somewhere else but I'm not convinced that's actually true

It's possible if you build a team with 6-8 F in the 5-7 million range as opposed to one with 2-3 F @ 8-9+.... create a real good balance, guys like Danault, Gallagher and Domi fit that plan perfectly.... looks like Kotkaniemi and Suzuki could also follow that trend

Interesting answers ... I personally prefer Tatar, he's as much a game breaker as Drouin, he's more consistent and he seems more committed to the game.
Granted, much of these factors might be due to age/experience but I see more grit and desire to win in Tatar than in Drouin.

As for Domi, he's got the raw talent and temper but he still seems immature at this point, will he ever be is the question. I'm not ready to give up on him just yet.

Anyway, it was fun getting various points of view.

Domi's temper reminds me of Ryan White every time...

While I don't disagree with the fact that Domi's temper needs to be contained, the talent level between him and White is not even comparable.

I'd rather have a guy with some grit and sandpaper than a guy you have to push in the ass all the time. Thus my original question about Drouin.

Drouin has very nice raw skills but I don't see him aging well in this league due to his character flaws (will to win). Maybe Tampa knew what they were doing when they decided to trade their first round choice.

Tatar all day every day. If you have to question a players (Drouin)will/passion/effort/attitude after how many years?

Habs should have never got him. Tatar may take dumb penalties but man he's fun to watch and have on the team. He loves to win and competes every night.

Habs would have been better off with just the Paccioretty trade and holding onto Sergachev. There would have been 1 less hole in the lineup that's already riddled with deficiencies.
