so it's settled now, from now on JB has to hold onto the rest of his first round picks plus give up a 2nd and a 3rd to get back into the first round.

I think Benning's greatest strength has been in building his amateur scouting team. I just wish he had given them more opportunity instead of less. Every year there are dozens of players, both young and old, looking for another chance. For example, I think Jack Skille had a more impactful career as a Canuck than Linden Vey.

Agreed but IMHO there is a time and a place for everything. Young guys needed veteran support the last few years and JB had to find the right guys.

JB will retain more and more picks now that the core is in place and ELC contracts are crucial. JB has said as much in a couple interviews.

No there are about 7 guys he's developed since his tenure, those are the undrafted ones. And a bunch still in the A.
